I was a great fan of the app, and had it before it was taken over by Rodgers, and now it’s riddled with so many bugs enjoying any show has become near impossible. The number of times they stop it for commercials borders on ridiculous, and it now wants to start another episode when you are halfway through your current one. I was wrong. It’s truly the worst streaming app out there. UI is unintuitive, it freezes constantly, every time a new episode starts the subtitles turn on, despite clearly still being marked as disabled in the settings. Fast forwarding or rewinding crashes the app half the time, and the “skip 10 seconds” buttons seems to skip you anywhere from 1-10 seconds instead. I wish I could give negative starts! It glitches, won’t ever open on the first try. Part way through watching a show when it’s supposed to go to an ad it goes to the next episode and then when trying to get back to the original episode it starts from the beginning with multiple sets of ads trying to get to where you left off. Way easier to navigate than most. But not anymore… I know they probably have some things to work out but it’s honestly the LEAST user friendly app I currently use. Which is a shame. The app on fire tv you can’t use the quick channel menu on the home page. It literally does nothing. It no longer works on my Roku TV do you realize how many customers have those TVs? On the ipad app, the ads just freeze. Then there is literally no way to watch anything when that happens. And watch on safari browser? Forget it. The menu for captions, for minimizing the screen for audio options is non existent. The play button triangle stays permanently on, and to top it off it makes you log in twice despite clicking the remember me button. No one has time for any of that. The fonts and font sizes are smaller and harder to read. Content freezes, restarts or skips ahead during playback. Discovery+ was my favourite streaming app, prior to the Roger’s take over. Now. It takes forever for them to upload the latest episodes of shows that have aired. For example, I used to be able to watch a shows that aired on Tuesday night, first thing on Wednesday morning while I got ready for work. No longer!
