Dish Align

This app made setting up my portable Bell dish a snap. I was up and running within 5 minutes.

Lots of data available including sat location in the sky, dish aiming parameters and available transponders. Able to select alternate locations with ease. Satellite map of your location as overlay to taget bird. Recommend this app.

Could not select my satellite. App is not user friendly.

This one is a very powerful tool for getting your sat setup. I’ve installled dishes for a living and recommend this for the DIY people. Good Luck! Read up on how to align a dish. If you don’t have time see below. Always follow these steps. 1. Ensure the mast is plumb. This is a critical step. Don’t skip it. 2. Set the skew. And leave it. No further changes should be necessary to the skew. Adjust the elevation. This will require fine tuning. 3. Set the dish on the mast and aim for the satellite azimuth. Again fine tuning. Use your sat signal strength screen on your tv to see what you have and fine tune for the highest possible signal. Keep in mind that a lack of phone cell towers can affect the accuracy as well as power lines ,metal structures.

Tried other apps BUT this one worked perfect the first time. Had spent a hour with my other app and literally 3 min with this one. Thanks it worked for me.

Not even close!

So i lined my own sat dish up by the tv and sat align function in options. Way ive always done it in the past its a patience thing and small movements to get the signal right. Anyway i was working on repairs in my trailer and decided to set up the dish and tripod to watch tv while i repaired. And i lined the bugger up worked like a charm. Got the idea that hmm maybe there is a app to make this easier when we go places. It was already lined up so i turned on the app and see if it showed the same and it did so i thought sweet. Took a trip in a few days a overnighter and wanted to set up the dish and ya know what incouldnt get it to come close to finding a signal. Infinally gave up and watched a movie instead. Next morning after hubby left tried it again with dish align . No dice, went back to the old standby and got it aligned and did it again my way when i got home Again. So i dont know folks if these things work or not seemed simple enough app and straight forward but when it showed in green and aligned i had no signal.
