In terms of simply uploading music distrokid is very good and will distribute to the places you need. However just hope you don’t need any support. They have a 7-10 working day turn around (if you’re lucky) to respond to any query. Then on top of that you if you do respond it’s another 7-10 days. They can make it difficult to withdraw money - which is most artists cases will be very little (could just be a change in bank detail or in my case no reason) which is fair enough for security as you’d rather your money secure, if you could resolve that quickly. They’ve got rid of things like adding lyrics (unless you pay extra of course). I’ve not tried any other distributers to be honest - so on that note can’t compare but overall a mixed bag. For the average artist - it’s a good place to upload music, but just hope you don’t need any support at all.

Why paid

We love the use of distro kid, but would like the cheapest version to be able to access more like stats and that thanks bye.

I’m not great with technology, so was relived that there system was easy to use. Everything was quick and easy. Well recommended.

I have an account with DistroKid but all the app does is offer price plans. I want to see is how my music is doing with regards to number of streams/ downloads etc. absolutely nothing in the app (ie menu options) apart from price plans.

DistroKid are the best! Put your money down and get your music out to the world.

I’ve seen other reviews and it seems like a great app but I feel like you could lower the price or make the subscription monthly but I might get it soon thanks.

I am huge fan of Distro kid. It has helped me to elevate my music to the next level. I’m super impressed with how great the service actually is and the user friendliness of the App itself. Very happy with the service as a whole.
