## Divine Office Description
The Divine Office App is an opportunity for you to participate in the recitation of the Liturgy of the Hours, an ancient and meditative collection of psalms, hymns and scripture that represent the public prayer of the Christian community.
If you are unable to pray in community, but love the contentment of praying with others, a praised feature of the Divine Office App lets you view locations where other Christians around the world are simultaneously praying with you.

This version is the official prayer book of the Catholic Church, however, it is suitable for all Christian faith traditions. It contains the official text and audio of daily prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours of the Roman Catholic Church (Breviary) and has been approved for use in the United States by USCCB.

The Divine Office App is designed to make praying more convenient, enjoyable, and simple enough for anyone to use. It automatically downloads the appropriate prayers for each office, every day of the year, including Solemnities, Feasts, and Memorials.

When St. Paul advises us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing,” he intends more than simply bowing our heads and speaking to God on a regular basis. He means for us to adopt an ongoing attitude of prayer that is a way of life and a constant intercession for the salvation of all mankind.

As the mystical body of Christ prays in unison, it fulfills what Paul advises as Christian conduct, that believers at once pray for the good of themselves, their neighbors, and the world. In this way, prayers become liturgy, a way to fulfill our divine calling and a practical approach for addressing the suffering of the world.

## Divine Office Reviews in United States

### ***** "Wonderful App"
This app blesses me every day. So grateful for this app. Thank you!
-- tfam2005, 2025-01-03

### ***** "Best Breviary App"
This is the best breviary app out there and it isn’t close.
Easy to use, well laid out, not buggy. I absolutely love it.
-- Black Pope, 2025-01-03

### ***** "My favorite app"
My favorite app. I can listen on the way to work. I wish that they would add a Rosary at the end of each day.
-- 0121Agnes, 2025-01-02

### ***** "Daily Prayer"
Very helpful in facilitating my daily prayer and meditation.
I use it now more than my Shorter Christian Prayer book.
-- jaxsun48, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Excellent"
I have prayed the Liturgy of the Hours for many years and then stepped away. I have joyfully returned and forgot the ribbon placement. While I have a beautiful 4 volume set of the Liturgy of the Hours, this app is so simple to use. No longer do I need to be concerned with ribbons, I can just pray.
-- jbcov, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Daughter of the Lord"
It’s great to know that I’m praising and thanking God along with many others in the world. I’m new in this practice but every morning I’m so drawn to pray this liturgy, to anchor myself in God’s words….. to use the ancient yet timeless words to give thanks and praises which are much better than my own. Loving it and am sure will deepen my love for the Trinity. Praise God for this app.
-- Servsnt of the Lord, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Wonderful Aid to Praying"
I use both my Christian Prayer book and the Divine Office app. At church before daily Masses, we pray from the book, but at home I use mostly the app, because I don't have to search for all the correct prayers for that day/saint etc. I do often listen to the recording of the prayers as well as reading the prayer (listening to morning prayer while driving to work-great way to focus on the day ahead). I have used the app for many years!
-- Healthcheeka, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Thank you"
Thank you for making this app available
-- John_c_b, 2024-12-31

### ***** "DivineOffice – liturgy of the hours"
This app has been a blessing in my life. I would encourage everyone to consider doing the liturgy of the hours!
-- Liturgy of the hours!, 2024-12-31

### ***** "Daily Prayers"
I love this app. The prayers are easy to read and follow. I love the reminder option.
