A mayor drawback for me is the app doesn’t highlight GPS loss. After 121 flights with a Neo, the drone lost GPS at the top of a hill in open sky. It would be nice to have a warning and not just from a tiny icon. Drone wandered into trees. Here’s the kicked. Without GPS DJI puts drones into ATTI mode you can’t climb out of danger!  Luckily it’s a cheap drone so bought another. But now I don’t trust my other drones. GPS loss needs to be  highlighted at a critical failure in the app

Worked fine with my mini 2 as the phone was mounted on the transmitter. But now with my mini 4 pro, getting data off is a huge ordeal. Sometimes it won’t connect, other times it will connect but shows that there is no data there. 
Or you could take the memory card out of the drone and stick it straight into your computer, but then you cannot manipulate the globe shots etc. 
Also firmware upgrades get stuck at a certain percentage and request reboot everything and restart, over and over. 
It’s all just disappointing. 
The mini 4 pro drone is great, but the new tx and the app, for me, do not meet the high expectations formed by my good mini 2 experience. Sorry.
Then there’s the whole problem of getting maps onto the transmitter before every outing. They just used to always be there but now the right tile has to downloaded from your base WiFi. 
And not to mention getting to your photo site/destination and finding you have left your memory card in your computer because the app wasn’t working and you forgot to replace it. Lots of new processes that were previously unnecessary. 
I have a great respect for DJI but this needs work.

I have dji mini 3 pro drone. Quick transfer used to work but a few months ago it just … stopped. It keeps loading, app crashes and i can’t quicktransfer at all. Not a fault of a phone (i thought it might be it at first place); I’ve changed my phone to a new one and the issue is still here. I had to buy a microSD card reader to get any photos of my drone. Honestly 2 stars is still more than this app deserves right now until it’s fixed.

The app has been updated, and now has a “Before you fly” box coming up on the initial screen. Can’t get past this as it tells me to register for an operator id. I have one already, but can’t enter it. In effect, my drone is bricked. Many complaints in the DJI forum, but no remedy.

Use to be good app, but not any more. To start a fly now need 30+ min preparation and at the end my time is wasted with lots of checking. New stuff from this week is error 30064 because constantly asking for updates. Updates keep stopping and I can’t take off. Deleted the app and trying to reinstall for second time. Friend with dji mini have same issues with updates. Looking for ways to skip it so far no luck.

This is a great update to the fly app also the updated editing app is great with a BUT - I usually edit on my iPad Pro but I find strange is that the DJI fly app forces landscape but when you use the editing app it forces portrait mode - why would you want to edit on an iPad in portrait - come on DJI in 2024 surly you can have the option to use it landscape or portrait NOT fixing it to one orientation
