Gathering of Analytics Data
"The Dorling Kindersley Limited ("DK") DK Eyewitness Travel Audio Walks app uses a third-party app service provider ("GOOGLE ANALYTICS") in order to create accurate, real-time user data reports so that DK can continue to improve the app user experience. The service collects and submits anonymous aggregated data about which app features are being used most frequently as well as your mobile device UDID (unique phone Identifiers) and/or IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identities), which are also anonymised via a secure hashing protocol, to Adobe servers. This information will be used to continually improve the features and functionality that DK releases in its subsequent versions of its mobile apps. This app also uses "MAPBOX" to enable our mapping and location services. Mapbox may collect data such as IP addresses which will be used solely for diagnostic and analytic purposes to improve their services."

## DK Eyewitness Audio Walks Reviews in United States

### *---- "Barcode for NYC book doesn’t scan"
Does this ever work?
-- Suzeevee, 2024-05-03

### *---- "App only works with London and NY"
I see from other reviews that this app is horrible. I downloaded the app to use with my French Phrase Book and the only options are London and New York. There is no option to add another language or location.
-- skdhfngjr, 2023-02-03

### *---- "Dk eyewitness"
The book is fine but I am unable to use the scanning feature in the Audio walks app
-- App does not work 2, 2023-01-20

### *---- "The barcode will not scan - where is support?"
I was very excited to try this because I have always loved the DK Eyewitness books. I can’t even find a place to request help for the app. I’m hoping this review will find it’s way to support and they will contact me (and everyone else) to explain how I can get access to the rest on the maps that supposed to be available.
-- GramB1800, 2019-07-18

### ****- "Loaded no problem"
I had no trouble loading the app or scanning the barcode
-- jghbvdehcdgvv, 2019-01-05

### *---- "Complete waste of time."
Don't bother.
-- robingriggswood, 2018-10-10

### *---- "BarCode or App is not working"
I thought it was only me that the app did not work, but now I see that happens to many people to, I hope they fix it, I bought my guide to have it in the app and I can not.
-- Sayira1213, 2018-09-14

### *---- "Maps won’t download"
Live the books! And was excited to see the app with audio walks available.... unfortunately the scanner does not recognize your barcode and thus no downloading 😞
-- CA Hazel, 2018-09-05

### *---- "Bar Code scan does not work"
The app does not scan the barcode on the back inside cover to download the audio for guided walks. Tried with Wifi and with only LTE, as well as completely closing the app. Simply does not work and needs fixing.
-- TravelerMJ, 2018-07-29

### *---- "Bust"
App won’t scan the barcode. What other rating can you possibly give an app that fails to work in any way?

Highly disappointed, the travel guide I bought was partially chosen because the app that went with it.
