## DK Pittsburgh Sports Description
This amazing app, the only one a Pittsburgh sports fan will need, is new and improved!

DK Pittsburgh Sports, the first independent sports media outlet of its kind in North America, was created in 2014 by Dejan Kovacevic, an award-winning columnist and veteran of 25 years with Pittsburgh's major newspapers. He's joined by a staff by professional beat writers covering the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and all our region's major college programs. That means every game and every practice. We travel everywhere the teams do, fully credentialed by the NFL, NHL, Major League Baseball, NCAA and International Olympic Committee.

Now, with this custom, state-of-the-art app, we're offering more quality and quantity than ever on a superior platform aimed at being a Pittsburgh sports fan's one-stop shop. Get all the news, opinion, analysis, visuals, podcasts and video programs on all the teams we cover. And if that sounds like too much to track, set alerts per your own preferences, and we'll reach out with only what you want.

Speaking of reaching out, join our commenting section to be part of a worldwide community of Pittsburgh sports fans, now spanning more than 150 countries. And if you like what you read, offer a cup of coffee!

Our slogan for years has been 'Coverage That Connects.' We'd like to think that connection's now stronger than ever.

## DK Pittsburgh Sports Reviews in United States

### ***** "All Pittsburgh all the time with other bits and piece’s thrown in!"
No better place to keep up with all Pittsburgh area sports. The heaviest coverage includes the 3 major sports (Steelers, Bucs, and Pens) but even covers key items from my favorite Duquesne Dukes and others. Led by DK himself, the staff includes a number of quality young journalists who really shine. Worth the cost of admission!
-- StevenJM, 2025-08-23

### ***** "Great for the Pittsburgh sports fan"
I’ll preface this by saying, like anything ad supported, the ad supported version is tough and frustrating to use. But I’m also a subscriber to The Athletic, which is great in its own way, so I have no problem paying for quality work. And as a Steelers and Penguins fan living on the opposite side of the commonwealth, I’ve tried lots of pods and read various coverage, but this has been my favorite. My entry to the app was through the Daily Shots pod, then Double Shot, and DK and Chris do an excellent job covering the Steelers.
-- ItIsNotChelsea, 2025-08-21

### ***** "CANT CLOSE IPHONE ADS"
Cannot close iPhone ads, but good content!!!
-- POTATOES SALAD, 2025-08-07

### ***-- "Can’t Close Ads"
Love the journalism of the site and the fact that it is no longer paywalled. However, the ads in the iPhone app take up the whole screen and the close icon is in the top right corner, where tapping it doesn’t work. You have to hard close and reopen the app to get them to disappear
-- Wildcat2007, 2025-08-03

### ***** "The Best source for PGH Sports"
I’ve been a subscriber for almost six years, live out of market for 40+ years and without question, DK PGH Sports is my best source for Steelers, Pirates and Penguins reporting. Real depth from guys on the ground. The annual subscription is 100% worth every penny.
-- JK of Miami, 2025-07-27

### *---- "Comment section horrible"
Typing comments is exhausting and frustrating. Extra painful. Now willing to dive into politics to get attention and clicks.
-- sumyngguy, 2025-05-31

### **--- "They don’t take care of customers"
Don’t expect timely, if any, customer support. I’ve had a request pending for a week, requested several times with zero response.
-- DeepCreekMike, 2025-05-21

### *---- "Just another sports paywall site"
I was an early subscriber. The site has fallen far from where it once was. For years readers have dealt with a revolving door of staff with many writers being hired with fanfare from Dejan only to be fired months or even weeks later without any acknowledgement from the site. There’s a more stable staff now but the focus is on quantity not quality. They spit out a ton of weird mini articles without much substance. Also the free app just doesn’t work. It’s just another SI, The Athletic, etc.
-- Reader Beware, 2025-02-26

### ***** "DK"
The coverage is second to none
-- Cheetah72, 2025-02-23

### *---- "Mess"
Full page ads pop up and do respond to close even when I click through to the ad website and come back! Happened 3 times in 2 minutes! I’ve deleted the app and tried everything
