Aside from losing my money 3 separate times.. I get locked out of my account pretty regularly. The stress isn’t worth it. I will be closing my account after my tax return arrives and I’ll never look back. Please please please!!! Choose a different bank. Because dollar bank is horrible

When I can actually make it past the log in screen without an Error pop up, im met with more of the same. Go to view my account, Error. Want to change my log in setting to Face ID, Error. Want to update my account settings, Error. Or it just boots me from the App all together. Its been like this for years now. Update after update, but nothing ever changes. I was hoping after the big redesign a couple years back that things would change for the better, but its just as glitchy as before. Please try to improve upon this, as I never had any of these issues with my other bank apps.

Love the other features of the app but by far the worst is the mobile check deposit feature. I wish it had the feature that automatically recognizes the check and captures the right photo in order to deposit it. Manually taking the picture only to wait forever to validate and tell you it’s no good it’s repeatedly frustrating. I have just gone to other banking app which has better ease of use in order to deposit my checks.

Upon launch, I get an error saying “to safeguard your data, we do not support rooted or jailbroken devices.” MY DEVICE IS NOT EVEN JAILBROKEN OR ANYTHING!!! I already had to get a new phone because you decided I shouldn’t be allowed to use the app on an older device anymore, and now you pull this! Get rid of that trash or at least put an ok button, so where it’s not blocking out people for no reason. Even if somebody did root their device, that’s on them if something happens, however that is NOT EVEN THE CASE HERE! I don’t know why I’m getting that error! I’m so fed up with Dollar Bank for multiple reasons, soon I’ll just have to move all my money to a bank that can have a working app. Edit: In response to the developer’s response here, I ALREADY HAVE contacted support, got an email saying it would be forwarded and that I’d hear back, and now nearing a month later, I’ve still gotten no further response or help at all. If some corporate executive didn’t discriminate against lower income people who can’t afford the newest devices, and try to implement a non-working, faulty root detection system disallowing use of the app entirely, we wouldn’t be in this situation, and you’d likely have a 5 star review instead.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to report this issue despite the fact of telling the customer service rep about these issues. Every time you reset your password, once you log out of the system once you regain access, it will not let you back in with your new password you just created that’s complicated. 

 I’ve been dealing with this this problem the whole summer I thought it was me being slow and not careful about my password. However, recently, I wrote my password down once I reset it to regain access to my account again and once I logged out after I forgot to do something, I tried to log back in. I got the same old error message of invalid password and then was locked out of it. 

 The issue is across the app & website. I’ve been having to reset my login every time I log out of Dollar bank. Once you try to log back into your account, after CORRECTLY typing in the password you’ll get the invalid password message, which the customer service reps are unable to see. I even tried resetting my password with the last one I used and the system ITSELF said that was my current password and to choose another. So I said, well! If that’s the case, let me type it in to login with it but alas — it wouldn’t let me and I had to come up with another long complicated password. 

 I really don’t have time to have to rethink a long password or let my apple apps think of a long complicated password every time I need to access my account. So, I’m frustrated and I am closing my account because this doesn’t make sense. 

It’s the convenience factor of using online banking and right now my online account with Dollar Bank is unusable. This looks like the only place you can report this kind of IT issue so, sorry for the length of this message. 

I’m done but you guys need to address this and come up with the ability for customers to report IT issues or your customer service reps report this stuff instead of leaving your customer feeling stupid.

….I came back to add that I decided to try to work with the app and see if I can bypass the login issue with using my face, guess what — 3 new passwords later, the system won’t let you set it up despite the fact I had it set up before. When it was updated in the spring/early summer the app stopped letting me login with facial recognition.
