I’ve bought a few courses from domestika.org in the past and always liked the subjects and content. All of a sudden I’m charged for a full-year subscription for € 100 completely out of the blue. To contact them is virtually impossible so I don’t have much hope that I will ever see my money back. You’ve lost a customer!
Een platform met leuke en leerzame cursussen. Ik heb er een aantal aangeschaft. Helaas hebben ze onlangs veranderingen doorgevoerd, waardoor de losse cursussen duurder zijn geworden. Bovendien zit je met de goedkopere optie nu vast aan een proef- of jaarabonnement.
I love Domestika and the courses they have to offer, I am a big fan. However, the app works terribly for me. There’s no menu, I keep having to restart the app if I want to switch pages. It says I’m logged in when I am not, but I can’t find a login option anywhere. Therefore I can’t access my videos. This is why I prefer to access Domestika from my browser, but I really wish the app would work better!
Domestika was altijd leuk, tot afgelopen jaar waarin je ongevraagd opgezadeld wordt met een jaarabonnement. Het staat in de voorwaarden in hele kleine lettertjes, maar als je voorbij je zogenaamde proefperiode bent (als je al door had dat je dit had) dan zit je er aan vast. Dus doe dit niet! Je wordt opgelicht!
Even if you buy one single course and chose not to be a plus member it will make you pay after one month for the one year. Support will say that you was on free trial. Even if your account wasn’t Plus this whole month.

I’ve been using Domestika 1 year ago. I’ve learned a lot.
I feel Domestika has real interesting and well curated collection of not overwhelming course content. Its clean design and predictable well layered sequence in planned structure gives me time to ground and work hands on with the information presented. It also provides a great library of resources related to the courses that are an extension to deepen into the chosen subject.

After finishing almost 10 courses on Domestika I thought it was time to write a review. :) I’ll start with the cons: - The interface for me is in Dutch, they have a lot of languages available. Most of the courses are in Spanish, but every course has subtitles available so that is nice. It hasn’t really bothered me so far. However, for courses like webdesign it’s harder to follow along, because the webpages the instructor is working on, won’t be translated. Keep that in mind. - I’ve experienced difficulties with loading some of the course videos. When I want to rewatch a video and click on it, it will load a different one from the same course. And I can’t get the app to play the one I want to watch, even after downloading etc. This is why I gave the app 4/5 instead of 5/5. Maybe you won’t experience these problems on their website, idk. I always use the app and my friend who also uses the app experienced the same problems. Pros: - Great quality videos. They’re fun and engaging. Every course has ‘homework’ you can do whenever you like and you can also see what other community members made/did, which is inspiring. -A lot of courses offer (free) additional resources you can download from the app. - Good pricing compared to the quality of the courses and all the hours of learning you get. :) In conclusion: It’s an app you will enjoy and probably share with friends and family. I’ve been using it for 2+ years and got two of my friends hooked too. :)
