I am beyond frustrated with this app. I purchased a course for $0.99, only to be charged $136.99 a month later for an annual subscription I never authorized. This is absurd! If I'm buying courses for $1, it's because I can't afford more - yet they took a huge sum without any warning or consent. I haven't even used the membership since the charge. This feels like a total scam, and it's outrageous that they think it's okay to charge for an entire year upfront. I want my money back and will never use this app again. Be careful - they're clearly trying to exploit people!

I love the content and there are many classes I’m interested in… I’m doing a 30 day trial. It’s been a week and it’s a no for me. The app continues to say certain classes are available for “plus” and I start the class and then it come back later it’s not available anymore unless I logout and log in again then it’s magically there again and remembers where I was at. Secondly, the subtitles should be available in black. I cannot see the words if it’s white on white.

I purchased credits that were to expire on November 24th. These credits were removed from my account prior to their expiration date. I reached out to customer service several times to remedy the situation but they did not respond. 

Update: a month and a half later they replied and addressed the issue. I’ve updated my review because the courses are interesting, modern, well priced, with a wide selection. 

I don’t recommend this app if you’d like to learn a new skill or explore a current interest!

I keep getting charged without any intimation or alerts and there is no customer care to respond to messages. Also, they do not alert you when any credits are going to expire. I have lost many credits and the cost of buying a course is cheaper without a plus subscription,subscription. The subscription is just a scam to get money out of customers without their approval

Check on review on social media you will see a lot of warning about it. even have some Group on Facebook warning about this app, and many people try to take money back. They charged me an annual subscription without my consent! I never signed up for anything, just tried to buy ONE course and then got a charge on PayPal for $119.99! 
They don’t warn you that you are subscribing for a 30 days trial that you have to cancel. How would I cancel something that I did not subscribe for?
Yes, that’s the scam right there! 
There is a whole Facebook group with 3500 people only dedicated for people that fell for this scam! 
So sad that there are lots of good artists in this platform that probably have no idea that this company is a fraud!!!! 
Will keep fighting to get my money back!!!!!!

I subscribed monthly for the app and all 3 classes about illustration & Procreate that I wanted to learn are locked. The app shows that I have to buy with 1 credit which means 1 month of subscription. The app will give me credits (1/month). So what’s the meaning of paying $20 for this app & receive nothing back but waiting for 3 more months for my 3 courses & paying $60 for those waiting 3 months. I've been a loyal Domestika customer for nearly five years, and it’s disappointing to say the least to see how customer service has declined. Recently, I was charged for a full year renewal that I did not ask for, and I’ve submitted four support tickets asking for help with this issue. Instead of receiving a thoughtful response, I kept getting the same generic message with a link to “learn more,” which provided no resolution or clarity.

As a long-time customer, I expected Domestika to at least review my ticket personally and explain why I am being denied a refund for something I did not intend to purchase. This lack of care and responsiveness is a real letdown from a platform I once admired. It’s sad to feel that loyalty means nothing here anymore.
