BACKGROUND CHECK IN MIDDLE OF ORDER

Dasher

Chrisdgoat on

No longer a entrepreneur job , go to Uber eats on DoorDash: can’t drive whenever, have to be in a certain zone to dash, have to maintain above a 50% acceptance rate or you won’t get orders, on Uber eats u literally can go online anytime you feel like it , can go online in any zone it doesn’t have to be busy and they aren’t forcing you to accept orders and count not accepting orders towards your ratings. DoorDash officially ruined their own app and Uber will take over for this reason lol Uber is actually entrepreneur DoorDash you still have to listen to a boss

Very Displeased with Treatment from platform

Ryan Florio on

Hi, so I started Doordash when I turned 18 which was a little over 2 years ago . I loved it and took pride into delivering my orders to customers in a timely manner and safely . I rarely ever got contract violation, and very consistently received high ratings. I had a lot of fun doing this during nights and eventually I was even awarded Top Dasher for a couple months . Unfortunetly this all came crashing down when I was randomly deactivated by Doordash for no reason and no notification. And to my suprise it became apparent that this is very common for doordash to do and honestly it’s a business strategy that I feel like does a disservice to the people who actually support you guys. It’s been about 2 months since my deactivation and I was even told that I wouldn’t be reactivated even after an appeal. It wasn’t a justified deactivation and not one thing has changed on my account since the day I got it that would come up as a red flag. I’m not sure why Doordash thinks tossing the people who put effort into their platform is a good thing, but it definitely has ruined the perception of many people who once supported them .

I can not find dasher order

The place is not that busy

Low pay

Bklyn_Jones on

I was outside for 3 hours today and I didn’t get ONE offer! I went to two different busy “hot spots” and waited and gotNOTHING. And I’m supposedly “Gold” status. A lot of good that did. This app is a ripoff sometimes. You should pay people for the wait time. Not just when they’re on an order. Smh ——————- Please make it so that you can switch locations without ending thr dash. I was in one area and wanted to dash in another area. I had to end the dash now I can’t get back on. I have to “schedule” It’s not fair. The app is good for some extra cash but you can’t make a living off of this app. The pay is low and some of the deliveries aren’t worth it. I just did a delivery where I had to shop at the supermarket for two heavy jugs of water. Then drive to a confusing gated community where the gps kept sending me in circles. Finally made it. No parking near the apartment building so I had to walk carrying the jugs. All for $6.75 including tip. Base pay alone for shopping should be $10. Wasting my time, energy and gas for $6.75 is bonkers!

DOOR DASH DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS

Halossubsidiesbshksisjs on

My food was terrible and I wanted a refund due to the fact I wasn’t going to eat the food. I use DoorDash frequently and never have an issue with customer service the times I’ve used it but I spent a total of almost $30 for one meal and only got $3 back. Not even credit for DoorDash to get myself another meal to replace the horrible food I received. I will never use DoorDash again.

So far, my least favorite out of the major delivery apps

ahernan0405 on

I’ve been on the waiting list for a few years, and now that I’m finally in, I decide to go out and try some dashing. The experience is pretty standard - go to restaurant, drive to customer, deliver food - but the app somehow treats you like LESS of a human with their own unique needs and obligations than the other services. The biggest culprits behind this are the schedules and dashnow features. I don’t plan when I’m going to go out, if I have a day free and I decide I’m in the mood for it, I’ll go out for a few HOURS. But with this app, I’ve either got to get ready to check schedules at some undisclosed hour, or hope that dashnow is available at a given time. If either of those options open up for me, I’m given an hour (ONE HOUR, SOMETIMES LESS!) to deliver one - maybe two orders. Dashnow is rarely available, and I have never seen a time slot for my area no matter how many times I check. (But somehow, I see other delivery drivers running two DoorDash apps on two different phones, sometimes more, with zero problem. Maybe ruining the customer’s experience and making them waste their money for both mine and doordash’s pockets is the way to go?) I’m only on my second delivery, but I’ve finished more than fifteen on Uber eats in the same timeframe. I’m currently being offered better services (better paying orders, better support service) since I’m below fifty orders, which I think is even more ludicrous. Opportunities in both orders and availability are already so sparse, and I can’t understand how I could possibly be held accountable for not wanting to waste gas driving a disproportionate amount of miles for a dollar or two, especially when I’m constantly weighing which order between the two apps pays me better. People don’t exist to solely serve your company, they have their own needs that are pushed to the wayside for the company’s sake. Honestly, I thought I could supplement my UE downtime with this app, but with the way it’s gone so far, I’d rather leave the pennies and dimes on the table than waste my time and effort checking this app like a crazy person every twenty minutes to see if I can risk destroying my car for DD’s sake.

Don’t waste your time on this garbage!!!!!!

the butte on

You can sometimes make good money with this app. But they lie about their hourly rates and I usually don’t make more that 17 and hour in a densely populated city! You are better off doing literally any other job where I live and with how many job openings there are, it wouldn’t be hard to find one. The dasher rewards are also ridiculous! How am I supposed to get my acceptance rate up when half of the offers are 2 dollars for 10 miles of driving. What a garbage app and I don’t recommend ever downloading it if you can just get a normal job. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Waste of time

Jeffshakfnxoa on

Not worth spending 2-3 hours sitting at hotspots wasting gas to make 6 dollars should be illegal to not at least pay minimum wage especially since a personal vehicle is required and they don’t pay for your fuel
