To get started:
1. Download the Dott app
2. Check the in-app map to find a nearby e-scooter or e-bike
3. Scan the vehicle’s QR code to unlock it, and you’re off!

0 stars of possible. First vehicle (e-bike) started with now power, had to pedal manually. Support offered no help.  Second vehicle showed full battery on purchase and then claimed zero battery after two minute ride. Horrible app. Terrible replacement for Tier app which used to work perfectly.

We hired the bikes Malaga for about an hour.  It ended up costing over €70.  The biked must be parked in designated spaces and when we found one it was full and could not be used( it was full of Dott bikes and scooters that were never going to be used in low tourist season) anyway we stopped  at a sidewalk had a drink and the bikes locked automatically. To get them going we were charged €60 for stopping in an unauthorised place.. 
These guys are a good as any street thief you might encounter in a modern city.  Steer clear!!!!

My Husband and I tried different brands but Dott was for sure the most stable, clean, comfortable to ride and most important, has 2 breaks ( different from some of the competitors) we had a great time using the scooters, was so much fun!
 It is a great way to see the beautiful Rome and super handy to go back to the hotel. Highly recommend!
