Description

DoubleTime is a metronome for working on your groove. With its state-of-the-art timing mechanism, it's as precise as it gets. But its killer feature is the DOUBLE button, allowing you to gradually extend the distance between metronome clicks as you dig deeper into your groove. Designed by award-winning pianist/composer Dan Tepfer.

DoubleTime Metronome Reviews

Good but …

I really like this app with the interval circles but interval clicks will not turn off even when I toggle it off. 😟 would be a 5 star if it worked.

Great app for a while, no sound

Love the concept of the app. All the sudden the app is producing no sound though. Everything else seems to be working, but metronome is no good without sound. Yes, I’ve checked my volume settings. Hoping this can be resolved soon so I can get back to using it!

Glad to see an update!

I’ve been using this app for a while now and it’s great. A couple things could make it easier to use- The start/stop button being larger than a tiny switch would be helpful I think, and also almost every time I start the app it starts out beating. I’d prefer it to start up in a stopped state. Also if the DoubleTime button could be huge, even something like take up half of the screen say, that would make it easier to hit it without losing the flow of playing. I suppose it could just get huge when the metronome is actually running? Or maybe doubling with a swipe instead of a button? I’d also like a quick way to halve the time back down one step, as it’s currently quickest to push it back to zero and then double it back to where you were previously.

Best metronome app that I know! Aside from just keeping time, it offers great features for your practicing, too, and helps you improve your time and groove

I've been using a version of this game for years now and it has done wonders for my time. If you're not familiar with Dan Tepfer's playing, check him out and you'll be instantly sold on this practice method. This app has a solid, simple interface and super clean programming. As an added bonus, there is a list of tips from Dan himself explaining how to get the most mileage out of this particular tool. Genius!

This and time guru are the most useful metronomes for me. Highly recommended.
