The Best podcast app
I’ve been using Downcast for years and it is by far the most flexible podcast app. The only thing keeping me from giving a full five stars is that it doesn’t show the 15 second advance rewind buttons on the Home Screen. It’s the only reason why I would consider a different app for podcasts. But moving to another app would be giving up a lot of what Downcast does so well.

I upgraded devices recently and decided to start fresh, including defaulting to Apple apps where possible. I spent about two minutes in Apple’s Podcasts app before running back to Downcast; the flexibility in Downcast is amazing and it was clearly written by someone who knows their users. Don’t waste your time with any other podcast app.
Best podcast app ever !
This is the first time I’ve written an app review and it may be the last. Wanted to chime in with others to support and cheer about this extraordinary podcast app. I’ve been using Downcast for years now and couldn’t be happier with all aspects – especially compared to much better known rivals. Bravo tutti!

I've tried many podcasts application and this one find the perfect balance between ease of use and functionality. Great job!
Broken
My only podcast app for years. Now broken - can’t add new podcasts or search. Please don’t make me switch apps!
Still the one I choose to use
Downcast maybe old and a little work to setup; but it is still the best (IMO). I have tried many others (Apple Podcasts, Castro, etc.), but come back to this each time.

Always been my go to. Don’t know how to get help. I can search for new podcasts anymore. Top lists won’t show anything. Help!

I’ve used Downcast for several years and have found it to be one of the best. The options are extensive, and any small issues have been dealt with quickly. I would highly recommend this podcast player.
