Downcast

Since updating to iOS 17/18 on launch Downcast gets stuck for as much as a minute then displays a message saying ‘checking if database needs migrating’ or words to that effect. Disappointing that there’s no sign of this being fixed

I’ve used this for years but in the last few months it keeps crashing on me and it’s frustrating. 10 times today already.

Used a few different podcast apps and this is by far the best

Use this every day, does everything I want and I've tried many on iOS. Easy to use, nice UI (even has a recent touch up) and stable. Highly recommended

I use this app on a daily basis and have done so for the past year or so. I find the automatic download function incredibly easy to set up and use, any podcast i've searched for has always been there and the option to have individual settings per podcast is brilliant! I've seen complaints about the sync function, but as I only listen on my iPhone i've never really experienced it, however every other function works perfectly. Easily the best purchase i've made on the app store!

Crashes more than a blind taxi driver

I heard about downcast when listening to macbreak weekly a couple of years back. I had been struggling with the built in podcast app and at the time it offered a better solution. Constant updates means it keeps getting better. The guys even made a playback speed change after I sent them a tweet. Lots of nice features. I use almost every day.
