Best podcast app
Very powerful podcast app. Was working perfectly but after last update can't play anything on iphone 5s running iOS 8.4.1 Would be more powerful if there is option for global search in all sources episodes.

Perfect for the power users
Everything can be configured exactly how you like a podcast app to function. Or just use it the way it Is. Very configurable with many options that can be set as default and each podcast can have its own unique settings also. Excellent app - work well and has very nice user interface.
Worth every penny
Does everything a podcast app should do and none of the things you wish it didn’t. Worth every penny. Thank you.
Annoying to use
It works but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, you have to click three buttons to get to a search field. A step down from Apple Podcasts.
Unsupported!
37 podcasts currently STUCK IN DOWNLOAD QUEUE, as the download there-but-not-yet pool continues to stagnate…
Fantastic app
Came back to Downcast after the rewrite of another popular podcast player made theirs too complicated. Downcast is simple and yet at the same time offers many options for the advanced user. Simple to set up playlists. Works great. Easy to lock episodes if you want to keep some archived. Just works great. Thank you!
Best podcatcher
I think Downcast is the best podcatcher for iPhone. No recurring subscription, no banner ads, no podcast marketing.

Been a user since 2012. I am a heavy podcast listener, this is the best app I’ve ever come across.
App is so great I could cry!
After the latest Podcasts app update ruined it for me, I purchased Downcast. It is so terrific I am kicking myself for waiting so long. This does everything I wanted the Podcasts app to do and more things I never even thought of. It is so customizable that it must certainly be able to accommodate everyone's needs. THANK YOU FOR CREATING THIS APP!!! I am 100% convinced this is the best app I have ever purchased.
App is great, recent issue fixed
Updating - the issue I described below is fixed as of this morning….// Hope you can fix the current issue with search not working and new episodes not adding. I see on Reddit that others are having the same issue. I deleted and reinstalled and lost all my subscriptions. Generally though, for years this app has served me well — it’s an excellent streamlined podcast app with wonderful customization features. The only thing I’d like to change (beyond current issue) is to be able to favorite episodes so I can find them again if I want to share them.
