Downcast

For a long time this was my daily podcast app. It’s starting to fall behind a bit on features and design. I would love to see more playback options such as 0.9x speed, trim silence and voice levelling.

Lately each and every time I pause a podcast it disappears from Now Playing and I have to find the podcast in the list again to resume playing

One of the few podcast apps that actually works the way I want it to. And thw only app that actually continues playing where I left off across devices. Only thing I am missing now is the ability to add it to Sonos as a Content Service. Would buy again or pay for this feature if it was an In-App purchase!

The most complete and functionally rich podcast App around. I have occasionally tried other podcast Apps and this confirms to me that Downcast is the best for me by far.

App freezes too often during playback, only way to get app going again is too hardclose app and restart again. Reported this some months ago but no dev response and problem hasn’t been tackled. Customisation is decent enough though (compared to stock Ios podcast player)

Prima App die precies doet wat je nodig hebt: goede zoekfunctie, fijne en duidelijke lay-out, heldere lijst en goede mogelijkheden lijsten in te delen en podcasts te bewaren. Een dikke 5! Misschien als extra nog een mogelijkheid om op 0,8 of 0,9 (lagere) snelheid af te spelen voor als je in een andere taal luistert.

Great app but really strange that playback can be set anywhere between 0.5 and 3.0 in 0.25 intervals but not to 1.75 and 0.75. Especially 1.75x is very common for me and 0.75 would be ideal for learning languages.

Love this app with advanced features for Playlists and streaming options. Has had dark mode for ages and works well via Bluetooth.
