I really love the app, but I struggle with keeping it installed on my iPhone because the uninspired red icon looks extremely old and ugly. It’s probably the worst icon out of all podcast clients on iOS and I can’t get myself to like the UI. I really hope it will be changed someday because besides optical issues I pretty much love everything about this client. The sound effects are so satisfying! Update: Switching back to Pocket Casts. UI is so extremely important that I don’t even care about features anymore. It has to look good or otherwise I don’t like using it.

Have been using the app for a couple of months now. The app is really slow in figuring out what's new, what to download, in refreshing... Besides, i have had (still have) problems with automatic downloading. Unf. I am going to delete the app right after my review

Everything can be configured exactly how you like a podcast app to function. Or just use it the way it Is. Very configurable with many options that can be set as default and each podcast can have its own unique settings also. Excellent app - work well and has very nice user interface.

Does everything a podcast app should do and none of the things you wish it didn’t. Worth every penny. Thank you.

It works but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, you have to click three buttons to get to a search field. A step down from Apple Podcasts.

Came back to Downcast after the rewrite of another popular podcast player made theirs too complicated. Downcast is simple and yet at the same time offers many options for the advanced user. Simple to set up playlists. Works great. Easy to lock episodes if you want to keep some archived. Just works great. Thank you!
