## Dr. Norman Vincent Peale Description
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (1898 - 1993), often called the "minister-to-millions" and widely known for his best-selling book "The Power of Positive Thinking"; created timely and timeless messages of practical faith. His legacy continues through the work of Guideposts, an organization he helped to found, which delivers messages of hope and inspiration to millions of people each day through its publications and ministry programs.

The purpose of this app is to bring the wit, wisdom, and power of Dr. Peale's sermons to mobile phone users so they can re-discover the power of his message.

Dr. Peale developed his philosophy admittedly because of his own crushing lack of self-esteem as a child. He once said, "It is of practical value to learn to like yourself. Since you must spend so much time with yourself you might as well get some satisfaction out of the relationship."

Millions of people including presidents, stars, business executives, and other leaders sought his insight and incorporated his teachings to improve their lives. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Ronald Reagan in 1984.

## Dr. Norman Vincent Peale Reviews in United States

### ***** "Fantastic"
If you just want to hear the word of Dr. Peale, this is the app for you. I have had it for years! I hope they NEVER shut it down.
-- Shawnee1707, 2025-11-12

### ***-- "Nice but issues"
I purchased this app and I listen to it once or twice a day and enjoy it very much. However, I have some problems with it, and it is the fact that there are many duplicates of his sermons and worse yet he is cut off before the end of some of his sermons. And sometimes the best information is at the very end as you know. For your information, you can obtain free sermons on YouTube. They are original and they are all intact as he would’ve wanted them to be.
-- AncientThunder, 2025-02-21

### ***** "Pure gold."
Norman Vincent peel was the father of the positive thinking movement within the Christian church through the 1980s.

Is powerful and uplifting sermons were famous throughout the land and his best selling book “the power of positive thinking” still inspires people leaving today.

We need more people like NVP today. Highly recommend his sermons, particularly the one on overcoming “Molehills” that speaks of a story about his friend Harlan Sanders.
-- Grinzterreich, 2020-08-10

### *---- "Who changed things?!?!"
I have used this app for many years and paid for it. Because I am often without cell or WiFi service due to my travels I loved the fact that I could download the sermons and listen off line. Seems that option is no longer available which is a shame as when I am offline is when I need to hear those sermons most. The links in the “more” option like restore purchases don’t even work. I hope the Peale foundation will find a new app developer who can develop an app the provides options like downloading for offline use. One star and that’s for the sermons not the app.

### *---- "DOES NOT WORK"
I just paid $10 for this and it will not play. I either want a refund or for it to be fixed.
-- keh097098097, 2017-02-21

### *---- "Mr."
I will not upgrade at all. Apple support has also worked on it and I have sent e mails to the designer of tjhe app

### ***** "Practical ideas that made Norman Vincent Peale"
With life stories and their actual, practical implementation strategies that have proven themselves to be successful through well sought-out consistent effort.
For anyone who thinks Christianity is just a belief-system, Norman Vincent Peale will have you knocking on your own door.
Maybe you would access situations differently, and offer a different slant, but undeniably Mr. Peale reaches people by sharing real-stories of real-people who changed their lives and created lives they were glad to be living.
-- Mama in pajamas, 2016-03-12

### ***** "Uplifting and Inspirational"
I have read and listened to Dr. Peale for over 30 years. Thank you for providing his sermons on the new technology of today.
-- oki323, 2014-01-05

### ***** "Amazing"
Absolutely love this app
-- unionindigo, 2013-07-11

### ***** "I was brought up on Dr. Peale's preachings and teachings"
What a wonderful way to relive his precepts and positive way of living. Listen to his sermons and walk away feeling good about yourself and God. Whomever decided to create this app and put together some of his powerful talks deserves many thanks of gratitude. Remember, Dr. Peale started this whole concept that all imitators try, but cannot, achieve.
