It hard locks you to the very end when you can’t open the alter for the medallion cause it’s already open. Sound bug mutes the game and no saves when you are at Dracula’s castle. Some of the puzzles and cutscenes are missing. However, there is a bug in the game where you can’t access the main library from the balcony. The door you are told is locked, yet there is no key and after seeing several walkthroughs of the game, the door should be open. I saw this and thought,'awesome! now I can play the whole series!'. and the game had got lots of bad reviews from 3 Years ago but there was a really good review from one year ago that said, the game is solid and faithful to the origanal. so being me i, went ahead and bought it looking for some nostalgia, and I've been playing for about an hour and a half still really enjoying the game. and now comes the road block. i get to the door that people were getting annoyed at and saying that you had to get through to progress and thought that, because of the good review from earlier, thought that this had been fixed. it has not. its a real shame and if anyone can suggest a way to fix this then, please do tell. i hope the publishers take notice of the reviews and fix this bug because seriously, ITS REALLY ANNOYING! i am playing on iPhone 5s and really want to continue. i give the game four stars for great gameplay, incredible remastered graphics and amazing narrative but is lacking the fifth star for the glitch! 🙄😉 -- ghostyGmr084, 2018-12-02 ### *---- "Massive bug makes you stuck" One of the doors in the library of the castle is locked, but it’s not supposed to be. So it makes it impossible to progress. Shame! (saves fine)" Other reviewers are complaining that the game does not save. I have tested this by opening and closing the game and starting again and it resumes exactly where I left off when I press the 'continue' button. It also has a number of autosaves that seem to be checkpoints. I am running game on iPhone 5s. The game itself is extremely faithful to the original PC release and it is very engaging with an exceptionally well-done creepy atmosphere. The dialogues are professionally voice-acted and the graphics are excellent! The cold, ancient and menacing atmosphere has been captured very well indeed. I had been put off buying this game for a very long time because of the reviews saying that you couldn't save, and this also put me off the rest of the series. However having tried the game and seen that it saves perfectly well and that it is a truly excellent adventure game, I will be buying the rest of the series. Considering just how much of a quality game this is, I am very surprised that there are not more positive reviews.
