Description

SOUND LIKE THE PROS!
The tune-bot tuning calculator will help you determine the notes and frequencies to reach your perfect sound. Based on your drums and your personal preferences the tune-bot will provide recommended settings based on musical intervals. You can then use the tune-bot drum tuner to tune your drums to these exact settings. Also you can experiment with other tunings and try some of our “pro tunings” from the various tune-bot artists. After you’ve tuned your set to your liking you can save the pitches of all your drums to allow you to quickly re-tune to the same sound over and over again. No more guesswork!

The tuning calculator app includes:

•Drum-Set calculator
•Snare Drum calculator
•Bass Drum calculator
•Single-Tom calculator
•Store and Recall of multiple Drum-Sets
•Pro Tunings from tune-bot Artists
•Tuning Guide
•Tuning Videos

*THIS IS NOT A DRUM TUNER! It is a tool intended to be used with the tune-bot drum tuner.

**The tune-bot drum tuner is available worldwide in music stores and online. See www.tune-bot.com for a list of dealers.

Good tool, but needs work?

Gabriel's Dad on

I’m a musician who likes to play all of the material for my originals, including drums. I just got the tune-bot and I think it’s a very handy tool, but it’s confusing that the settings in the app are different than what you get in the documentation. I think there’s a real disconnect that they don’t sync up. For example, the recommendation in the documentation for the bass drum is way off from what is shown in the app. Same thing with the snare. So, as a novice drummer, who needs help in getting the tuning right, which one do I choose? App or documentation?

Out of date

Mesospheric on

Many of the features point to dead links on the web site. The calculator isn’t as accurate as the documentation on the tube bot website

Great idea about audio samples

Seangooosss on

Good app and please add the audio samples ro help decide whats a good tuning ☺️

If you want simple this is not for you

J.W.A. on

Most drummers just want to tune their drums to sound good quickly. We are not sound engineers . Unit needs more simplified instructions and app for the drummer.

Good

Saltie Dawg on

Works well as a reference in conjunction with a Tune-Bot Studio, good heads, hoops not beat to hell, good bearing surfaces and experience. Only gripe is there is no option for a 20” floor tom. And yes, there are old timers that have had their kit since the 70’s (Bonham style). I would ask the developer but looks like this app has not been updated in over 4 years.

So easy

oregon mathlete on

I was able to tune a kit with really beaten down heads on the first try using the freq calc along with a drumbot. In the past i could only get drums well tuned if they were new heads. Game changer

Great companion app to Tune Bot

410Ford on

For me, the tune bot has been a game changer in tuning. People should understand this app and/or website from them only provide starting points and recommendations. You still need to dial in your drums and ensure they are fine tuned to the note vs picking someone else’s Hz and letting it ride. Great app for quick reference though! I can delete the website bookmarks I use now. 😀

Lacking features

Thisnicknameistaken74476 on

Could be so much better as a companion to the tuner. PLEASE allow for more than 4 slots to save drum kits, and PLEASE allow for the naming of saved kits. Would make this so much more useful.

Garbage

songster81 on

Garbage... why would you make something that is so useless... and waste time making it... don’t get it...

Pretty Useless for a Pro

Jeanchile on

This app is a good idea for a companion to their tuner but like the tuner it's a good idea that lacks critical features. While you can "calculate" tunings and save them you can't adjust your tunings at all. If your toms are calculated at 280hz but you actually have to tune your lugs to 288hz to get the pitch you need you CAN'T change that anywhere. Also if you're a professional drummer with 7 drum kits and 27 snare drums you can't save them either. You can't name your saved kits either so you have to remember them as Save1, etc. I'm still left with using Excel on my phone to save all this stuff anyway so what's the point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The documentation is a great resource but you can get that on their site anyway. All in all, it's a pretty freaking useless app... but I guess it's a start. Just need to rush more development through to make it so we can actually use it.
