You have at disposal three free loops to download from the list of 500 LOOPS TOTAL, so you can test the player functions and enjoy the practice with Drumgenius. Then, if you like it, on "Store" section, you can buy loops, having available three options: 10 Credits, 50 Credits and Infinite Credits. Each credit lets you download one loop at your choice from the complete list. When you choose a loop that comes with the alternate version with Clave (C), both versions will be automatically downloaded and will result as one credit only.
You can use 10 and 50 credits option only once. Infinite Credits option lets you download all the loops included in Drumgenius 3.0 and will give you also unlimited access to all the loops that will be included in future updates.

Generous and kind
I switched OS from android to Apple and the developer helped me restore everything from android to Apple. Basically, they gave me a code that would restore all my purchases. Plus I use this app for practice almost everyday. I use the song styles to explore new things as well. Thank you for a quality product.
Purchased loops vanished
I bought this app in 2020 and a pack of loops. 5hey seem to have vanished when I checked on 5/24/2024. No loops it seems unless I buy them again. Oh well who really needs them?
Lack of any real hip hop/rap beats is disappointing
Im a jazz/r&b/fusion guitarist. I play to tons of styles of music. This app holds it down for almost all styles. But the lack of anything modern sounding is pretty embarrassing for an app called Drumgenius. I would change my review if there were more than 3 decent hip hop/ rap beats. Really, the genre is as vast as jazz, the number of beats should reflect that. This app acts like the one stop stop for drum loops and that’s true if you play jazz, but it’s not advertised as a jazz app. Nothing robert glasper type, or j dilla type. Its so disappointing especially because everything else sounds great, why not improve the hip hop/ rap section?? It kinda makes it feel like the developers don’t see that as real music.
Badly organized app
App is telling me I used up my credits and there is no category in the app that tells me what tracks I own. Outdated UI is not helping either.

Best drum loops
I love this app! There are endless applications when it comes to using this app to practice. However, note to the developer: I’m not sure if it’s the most recent update causing it but lately the app is not working at all for me. When I hit play on a loop, nothing happens and it’s stuck at 0. I’ve restarted the app and my phone and it’s still happening. Please help!

Versatile and Interesting!
Amazing app! It is the best app I use to practice improvisation on my keyboard. It has a ton of different styles and meters to choose from which makes it an amazing option when practicing. Furthermore, many drum rhythms include the option to listen to the clave which makes it useful to follow along especially in the odd-meters. Even more I love that the built-in metronome includes rhythms and not only a unison click. Though I would love the option to create completely new rhythms for the metronome, not just modify existing ones!! (Ex. a 21/8 meter with custom rhythm)
Perfect for musical expansion
This app is amazing for expanding any musician’s repertoire of styles, beats, and rhythms. A percussionist’s auditory bible, and perfect for any instrumentalist to groove their etudes and woodshed their improvisations with scales, chords, etc.
