## DS audio Description
**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the Audio Station 6.5.0 package to get the complete set of features**

DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with an iPhone/iPad wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

Just use Plex, which can also scan videos way faster than the native Synology apps.

For real, there are many applications that are more user friendly than this one, and also updated more often which offer better support.

Allein schon, dass es die App gibt, ist für mich 4 Sterne wert. So muss ich meine umfangreiche Musikbibliothek nicht mehr aufs Mobiltelefon laden. Und die Umsetzung finde ich auch ganz gelungen, sieht hübsch und aufgeräumt aus. Die Funktionalität ist für mich mehr als ausreichend: Suchen von Künstler, Alben, Titel. Skip vorwärts/rückwärts. Wiederholen Titel/Album. Und eine Bewertung für einzelne Titel. Playlisten gibt es nur vordefinierte (Zufällig, kürzlich hinzugefügt, Top bewertet usw.). Aber eine Schlummerfunktion hat es. Zudem bietet es die Möglichkeit, Titel und Alben aufs Mobilgerät herunterzuladen. Gibt 5 Sterne.

My whole music collection is built as m4a/aac version. Without the ability to play music directly from the NAS to the iPhone, storing it on the NAS is pointless (and no, converting to an old format like MP3 is not an option - nor do I want to use another app). Synology - please update the app!

There is a annoying bug when I remove tracks from the playlist while playing, the current track is lost and reset to the first one.

Another improvement would be to avoid connecting automatically to the synology if we only want to use downloaded tracks.

Ich habe all meine CD’s und iTunes-Lieder auf ein Synology geladen und darum das DS Audio App installiert. Seither bin ich immer wieder positiv überrascht, weil dieses App EINFACH ALLES KANN, was ich mir von einem Musikapp wünsche! Ich kann z.B. alle Lieder oder die Lieder aus einem Ordner mit Unterordnern spielen lassen oder nach den verschiedensten Kriterien gefiltert. Ich kann beim Hören automatisch downloaden und dann offline hören, jedoch den Downloadspeicher begrenzen. Oder mit wenigen Klicks 100 zufällige Lieder herunterladen diese beim Pendeln offline hören, bis sie mir verleiden und dann wieder löschen und neue laden. Und alles ist klar, intuitiv und übersichtlich. Schluss mit Synchronisations-Chaos und zugemülltem Handy! :-) Danke für dieses tolle App!
