Der Aufbau einer Verbindung zum NAS war schon immer sehr langsam. Mittlerweile saugt aber die App auch die Batterie und das Datenvolumen (im Hintergrund) leer.

### *---- "Datenschutz Horror! Verlangt Vollzugriff auf Fotos zum Download von Aufnahmen"
Unabhängig vom grottenschlechten Interface, minimalen Konfigurationsoptionen, ständigen Verbindungsabbrüchen, kaum existenten Buffering ist die App der Horror aus Datenschutzsicht. Es wird voller Zugriff auf die Foto Bibliothek benötigt, um gespeicherte Aufnahmen aufs Smartphone zu laden. Dies ist für den Vorgang technisch überhaupt nicht notwendig.

Beim einrichten eines Benutzers komme ich bis zum Anmeldefenster, die wird auch von der DS geladen. Allerdings bleibt die Seite weis keine Eingabe von Benutzer  und Kennwort möglich.

Da gibt man mehrere Hundert Euro für die NAS-Station und die Kameralizensen aus, um dann mit so einer schlechten App abgespeist zu werden. Die App braucht ewig zum Laden, dann braucht sie noch länger, um die Streams zu laden, der „Home mode“ funktioniert nicht usw. Eine absolut untaugliche App. Aber das scheint Synology völlig egal zu sein, denn der Zustand ist schon seit Jahren so.

Sadly the app crashes all the time with H264/265 streams and seams to take some system services with it or at least it’s a memory leak problem with the app that leads to a crash and to kill the task needs a bit of time for the OS.
This behavior was the same under iPadOS17.x

Ich habe mittlerweile 13 Kameras angebunden und bin im großen und ganzen zufrieden. Mir fehlt allerdings noch die PIP Funktion, damit ich eine Kamera kontinuierlich verfolgen kann, auch wenn ich zwischendurch mal eine andere App aufrufe.

### ***** "Sehr gute App, deutlich besser als Qnap"
Ich bin von Qnap auf Synology umgestiegen. Ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht. Übersicht in der App und durch die „Ereignisse“ kann man sehr gut suchen. Dazu bisher keine Stabilitätsprobleme und auch von Außen mit VPN ein klasse Aufbau.

Eingesetzt werden bei uns 1x 8MP und 7x 4MP IPCams von Dahua.
