Among all the apps I tested so far for learning Chinese, this is undeniably the most useful and well-thought. The stories-based approach provides a very fast way for learning both new words and how to structure sentences. Also, the catalogue available to Premium users is vast. Personal opinion: if you really want to learn Chinese without following a school course, this app is definitely worth the price.

I actually will cut it short… this is the BEST app ever if you’re looking forward to learning chinese, period. There’s absolutely NO COMPETITION. The way it’s divided in level and the stories’ voiceover are just pure excellence overall. 
There’s just one thing I would really really be glad you added. I use Anki for flashcards instead of your built in flashcard system. Why? Simply because you do not have reversed cards. A reversed card holds two spots instead of one. It is a card that asks you both the chinese to english translation and the english to chinese translation. This actually helps so much and I just couldn’t live without it. You guys instead only have the chinese to english one unfortunately.
I really hope you could add that into your app, since that would bring DuChinese to an absolute 10/10.
I am giving 4 stars out of 5, hoping you add this.

This is an app that, in the era of AI and user content, provides great stuff to read and a voiceover reading by different natives speakers. Human, no AI. And this is great, imo.
UI and UX are designed and built very well. The Pleco integration is incredibly useful, flash card export AND example sentences are an incredible idea, HSK-level word underlining helps with memorizing words, 等…
This has become my favorite app so far. I tried many readers, but none of them provide good content (along with a decent page format), and none of them put such level of care in providing an enjoyable experience.

Quest’app, nell’era dell’AI e dei contenuti user-based, possiede contenuti estremamente interessanti, ed ogni contenuto possiede un file audio con il voiceover dell’articolo letto da madrelingua. UI/UX hanno un design studiato e funzionale, l’integrazione Pleco è utilissima, le flash card esportabili CON le frasi di esempio è un’ottima idea, la sottolineatura delle parole, con un colore diverso per ogni livello HSK aiuta a memorizzare le parole.
Quest’app è ormai la mia preferita: ho provato diverse app di lettura ma nessuna possiede dei contenuti così interessanti, oltre ad una formattazione (tra caratteri, pinyin etc) delle pagine/paragrafi decente. L’esperienza è ottima. Consigliata

### ***** "This App transformed me into a reader"
A reader in Chinese of course.
What keeps me motivated to read everyday (no stop in more than 3 months so far) is the quality of the stories and the appropriate division between levels. I am reading almost only “Intermediate” stories and I always feel like “wow, I understand almost everything, I am constantly growing”. When I am a bit tired I do an elementary, and when I am tired and busy I can just do a couple of newbies. That keeps me on track. At the same time, I always encounter new characters which I seamlessly include in the flashcard deck, thanks to the great interface. Flashcards are very well programmed. First, in each card you get the hanzi, the meaning, the recorded reading AND a sample sentence from the story where you first encountered it. Now, that is a good idea, clearly thought by someone who understands how short/long term memory works. Second, flashcards can also be crammed after completing your daily review. That is also VERY useful, again for cementing hanzi in the long term memory.

There IS one flaw. The library includes some long stories divided in chapters, among most stories which are no longer than 2-3 pages. I got addicted to the long stories, because they operate deeply, at the level of feelings and emotions. Love stories warm your heart and horror stories make you shake of fear. When that happens, you really get THE EXPERIENCE of living life in a different language. The problem is that there are few long stories compared to the long ones. Although some short stories are nice, most feel quite lame compared to “The Butterly Lovers” and “The painted skin”. Oh, if only I could read those for the first time again! So my suggestion to you is: buy this app, pay the most generous subscription, and tell the developers to add more long stories. This way we will all succeed!

Ho visto molte App che insegnano il cinese , questa , per chi ha una conoscenza di base è fantastica . Si apprendono frasi molto utili alla comprensione del cinese stesso. Anche se sapete che anche due cinesi di paesi diversi non si comprendono del tutto.
