This app doesn’t have native full screen support, I’ve tried everything, I’ve upped the resolution, decreased the text size to 100%, and couldn’t have proper access to my display. I did mess with my windows settings a bit but still had the display issue. The next version should have a full screen option so that all of the display is shown on the phone. As well there should also be automatic rotation. Overall a good app but does need extra features for better optimisation.
I bought Duet about for around 12 euro 4 years ago or more at this point. It’s worked perfectly for all those number of years on my old iPad air for ages and I’ve had no issues. Then they update the app and force a 10 minute connection limit on people who have already paid for it to make people sign up for a new subscription service? Really? It’s pretty much unusable with the time limit as a commuting college student. That’s just highly disappointing. I thought I could rely on duet for ages.
Using it without any major flaws on a combination of MacBookAir 12” iPad. Allows me to really be productive when on the road. Great tool. Not using it over wifi but connected with a cable. Requires the Mac to be hooked up to a power outlet.
iPad Air iOS12.5.6. Duet Display 2.4.22 installed and was working more or less fine until yesterday but app crashes now when I try to launch it. Reinstalled app a few times and rebooted IPad a number of times to no avail. I see latest ver of Duet is only a few days old. Is that the problem? Update: Great customer response and support! I submitted a crash report (they gave me good instructions on how to do that) and they issued a new fix a week or two later that fixed the problem just in time for report writing on an assignment abroad. Many thanks to Vachi for his support. App works great again.
I use this app all the time as second screen to when working on my MBP, it’s brilliant, so handy and useful in helping me see clearly all the work spread out clearly in front of, couldn’t be easier to use. Well worth it.
Works
App is a grate value add hypothetically from what I’m aware it can do, however, the lack of an option for a one off perpetual license, rather than a subscription model is a no go for me personally integrating it with my workflow. I’m aware a lot of companies are going the subscription route but just because it’s becoming more normalised, doesn’t mean this is the best for consumers
If you are using this with pc then don’t bother. I am running it off an xps 15 which is fairly powerful and I cannot stop it from lagging. The only use I can think of is if there is music playing or a tutorial but other than that you can barely move the cursor around
Using as a second screen for video editing. Super laggy so can’t use it.
