Very handy app

Agent Grime on

Very handy app allowing me to use my iPad Pro as a second monitor to my MacBook while on the road. This allows me continuity with my workflow at home, in the office, or on the road. Nice!

Lifetime plan isn’t working

reviews91753 on

New Zealand

I’ve already purchased a lifetime plan but Duet is trying to force me to purchase it again. There’s no option to download the desktop app unless I purchase the app a second time, even though I’m logged in with my original account.

iPad as extended screen

Quake Prone on

New Zealand

Duet is magic for my laptop with its smallish screen - I now use my iPad as a second screen when away from the office. Easy to set up and operate. Have used via wifi and cable, and both work perfectly. The normal laptop display options allow positioning of the second screen for extended display or mirroring.

Time wasting misleading info and outrageous pricing

Arsalan.E on

New Zealand

According to App Store page, free version is functional over the cable connection. In reality, I can’t use free version without paying for starter subscription. According to YouTube reviews, their pricing used to $10 for lifetime access. Now the most basic package is also $5 per month subscription. It’s outrageous inflation. The amount of money we need to pay to get pressure sensitivity for one year, we can get a dedicated xppen or huion drawing display tablet.

Subscription thieves

Yet another app that I already paid for, but now I need to pay a subscription. Delete.

App requires a subscription once you've already paid

JoshJ989 on

I bought this app over the pandemic and it worked great (albeit used a bit of power, but worked well). Well, I recently got a new iPad and thought I'd install it again. Turns out that the app won't let you connect for more than 10 minutes unless you pay for the annual subscription of $25USD/yr. And no Apple Pencil support unless you pay $35USD/yr. I understand that devs need some money to maintain the app, but I would've preferred an honest, one-time payment option in addition to the subscription model.

Totally disappointed with this app, not only is it expensive to purchase but they then try to fleece you for a subscription. deleted in under 2 minutes. Ripoff!

Sneaky

EstiaanvD on

New Zealand

Buy price only allows extra screen, only double the price subscription allows for drawing on your ipad. If I knew I would not buy it.

Next level service

smac000 on

New Zealand

Great app that lets me use a mouse, keyboard and Apple Pencil on my iPad with the desktop version of adobe Illustrator- huge productivity boost! The app wasn’t installing properly on my PC, I had an email back from the service team within a few hours. We did have to try a few things to get it working- throughout the process the team were super quick at replying to emails and provided really clear instructions. To be honest, it’s the best service I have ever had
