After update it’s useless. It takes you to the web page where I have to try multiple times to access my bill information. What’s the point! The app immediately takes you to the website. The website is useless! I can’t view my bill but it’ll let me pay it. The kicker is, I have to pay it as a guest even though I’m signed into my account. I’m seeing numerous people say the same thing yet no one is trying to fix the problem.

Why bother making an app for your company if all it does is link back to your website? Especially if said links never lead where they’re supposed to? Does this app provide ANY useful perks or services that the website does not? At least I know the website works… Duke, this is app is a genuine disgrace. I can’t wait to never have to use it again. Oh wait - I just deleted it. Because as I said; it’s useless and unlike the app, the website actually works. I am returning to this review to document YET ANOTHER failing of the Duke energy app. My energy bill was far higher than it should have been, and when I tried to view the statement, it just kept sending me to the “how to” page. This is the kind of software that freshman undergrads do daily, how on earth does a multimillion dollar company fail at something so simple? Further update, the last time I tried signing into the app, it wouldn’t even let me. It just immediately transferred me directly to the website, begging the question YET AGAIN - what on earth is the point of this god-forsaken piece of archaic software? Another update, today’s date is December 16, 2024. Considering this app screws up almost every time I use it, I figure I should start dating each failure, even thought I know Duke won’t do anything to solve it, let alone read this. While trying to log into my account, I tried resetting my password. It booted me to the website, which then prompted me to log in. Considering I don’t know my password, and that was the entire reason I was there in the first place, this was quite frustrating. What genius decided that you would need to know your old password to set a new password? Why is that where the “forgot your password?” button on the app sends you?The Beta version of Minecraft had better coding than this monstrosity, and that was made by one guy in his basement in 2008, not a multi-million dollar company.

What is the point of an app if everytime I attempt to login it just wants to take me to the website? So frustrating considering the website doesn’t keep me logged in when attempting to pay a bill. This is what happens when a company doesn’t care about making things easy for the consumer

App says to up date, I go to App Store won't up date because my iPad is a 2017 model and won't take the update to OS16. So will not update DUKE energy to the latest.😡😡😡😡😡

So many apps that I rarely update, this one seems every time I come to use it

The app won’t open because it says I need to update but when I’m redirected to the App Store for the update, there is no new update!! I’m just trying to pay my freakin bill!

Might as well mail em a check cause anything you want to load will take an eternity anyways. Not only that but you get charged a late fee for their inconvenience don’t say you can pay online if it never loads… THEN CHARGE ME FOR IT. Fix your app! Not only that but why is my gas have to get paid through your app as well because that doesn’t load either. All of it’s a joke😡👎👎👎
