Good idea, room for improvements
The idea is nice, but in practice IOS does not provide the tools for a smooth experience:
- App relies on shortcuts and widgets
- Adding an app that is not on the official list is kind of a pain
- It is all smoke and mirrors: basically you setup a dark wallpaper, the app creates a widget with the apps you wan listed. Widget size is limited so you cannot add many apps, otherwise you will not see them.
- when you open an app, it has to go through the Dumbify launcher first, it is jarring. Even worse for some apps like Phone, you go through Dumbify then Shortcuts then Phone
Conclusion: really WIP, not sure it will ever be possible to circumvent all IOS limitations
