Description

Duo Mobile works with Duo Security's two-factor authentication service to make logins more secure. The application generates passcodes for login and can receive push notifications for easy, one-tap authentication on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

Additionally, you can use Duo Mobile to manage two-factor authentication for other application and web services that make use of passcodes.

Note: For Duo accounts, Duo Mobile needs to be activated and linked to your account before it will work. You will receive an activation link as part of Duo's enrollment process. You may add third-party accounts at any time.

Simple and easy to use

Gets the job done but due for a visual makeover

This authentication app gets the job done, but the visual design feels a bit outdated compared to similar apps like Google Authenticator and 2FAS Auth. The layout uses relatively simple icons and text, lacking some of the modern polish and sleek aesthetics you see in other top apps today. It's a no-frills functional app, but the visuals just seem a bit old school. In terms of core functionality, the app works as expected for generating OTP codes and integrating with sites/accounts for two-factor authentication. But the user interface itself could use a refreshed modern look - brighter colors, sleeker buttons/text, visually appealing OTP code screens, etc. Overall it's a solid functional 2FA app, but a modern makeover of the visual design and layout would really give it a more updated, premium feel on par with the top authentication app competitors. Sometimes design and aesthetics make a big difference in user experience even when core functionality remains the same.

Just like other people that had left very low reviews, I have come here to say the same. My phone was recently wiped out and now I have no option to log in into my accounts since the data on the 2FA app is now long gone. I hope an admin can see this and resolve the issue. I once used to like this app until My phone has restarted.

Inconvenience of the only option to connect with activation code

I recently restored my phone due to a software issue and that caused all the data of the Duo Mobile app to be wiped off. It was the weekend and I needed to check clear some work. It was only then that I realised I needed an activation code to get the duo mobile app working. I can’t contact my IT admin to drop a ticket about this because my email, messenger, basically all company’s app needed duo mobile in order to sign in. There wasn’t anyway to get the app working besides the activation code, and this results me not able to get my work done. I hope in the next software update, more authentication can be added instead of just asking for the code from the IT admin.

I don’t know what is going on but the 6 digit pin given by the app is not working when I input the passcode to log into my Instagram account. I have no other way of logging into my account so please help me. I have so much precious memories in that account.
