## E nummers app Description
Ben jij geïnteresseerd in wat je eet? De eerste voedingsadditieven (E-nummers) controle app is ontwikkeld om te gebruiken tijdens het winkelen!

E-nummers is een snelle en eenvoudig te gebruiken assistent die je zal helpen te bepalen "welk voedingsadditief wat is” als je gaat winkelen. Met meer dan 500 voedingsadditieven in de database kun je gemakkelijk een op kennis gebaseerde beslissing maken over wat je gaat kopen en eten.

Kenmerken:
* uitgebreide lijst met meer dan 500 voedingsadditieven
* gedetailleerde informatie, inclusief oorsprong, karakteristieken, dieetbeperkingen, beschrijving van de bijwerkingen, en de dagelijkse inname is beschikbaar voor de meeste voedingsadditieven
* kleurgecodeerde lijst op niveau van gevaar  (groen= veilig, oranje=wees voorzichtig, rood=gevaarlijk)
* snel en gemakkelijk te gebruiken zoekfunctionaliteit op E-nummer of de naam van het voedingsadditief
* eenvoudig te begrijpen waarschuwingssysteem afgestemd op je vooraf ingestelde dieetbeperkingen of niveau van gevaar
* de lijst kan worden gesorteerd op alfabet, E-nummer, categorie en niveau van gevaar
* 7 verschillende talen voor namen van voedingsadditieven (vooral handig als je in het buitenland bent en de additieven geschreven in een vreemde taal wilt controleren)
* geen internetverbinding vereist

Voedingsadditieven zijn stoffen die al eeuwenlang worden gebruikt om het uiterlijk en de smaak van voedsel te verbeteren, en verlengt de houdbaarheid. E-nummers zijn codes die voor deze stoffen worden gebruikt in de Europese Unie, Australië en een aantal andere landen. Sommige voedingsadditieven zijn veilig, maar sommige kunnen ook heel gevaarlijk zijn en bijwerkingen, allergische reacties of hyperactiviteit bij uw kind veroorzaken.

Indicatoren voor het volgen van dieetbeperkingen:

* veganist
* moslim
* Joods

Indicatoren voor het volgen van gezondheidsrisico’s:
* kanker
* hyperactiviteit
* allergie
* astma
* niet goed voor kinderen

E-nummers wordt meerdere malen per jaar bijgewerkt om ervoor te zorgen dat je altijd een actuele voedingsadditieven database tot je beschikking hebt.

### **--- "Makkelijk maar zeer zeker niet volledig.."
Makkelijke app, maar helaas niet volledig. Ik was begonnen de alfabetische lijst te checken maar bij aspartaam staat ondanks dat het een 5 (gevaarlijk additief, beter vermijden etc etc) er verder geen uitleg.  Jammer want er is heel veel over bekend. Nu moet je de app verlaten en een zoekmachine gebruiken om daar achter te komen. Deze app vind ik daarom eigenlijk overbodig. I.p.v. deze app kun je beter je browser openhouden op een gebookmarkte e-nummers website. Makkelijk als je lui bent of geen Google-Fu kent. De update geschiedenis laat zien dit is een melkkoe is voor dit bedrijf. Erg jammer want een dergelijke app heeft wel potentie. Google is je vijand dus leer het goed kennen!

Fijn dat het in meerdere talen in te stellen is. Je kan op naam en op nummer zoeken.
Zou wel handig zijn als je ook een zoekoptie in het menu zou hebben. Nu moet je op alfabetisch volgorde de lijst afzoeken als je alleen de naam kent. Misschien een verbeter puntje voor de makers.

Excellent app. Easy to use (quick search by name or number). Dietary/allergy information is good. Unlike some alternative apps, the descriptions appear factual, instead of biased and unsupported. Just a few numbers don't have descriptions, notably aspartame.
Personally, I'd like references to scientific studies in a future update.
