e-Sword LT: Bible Study to Go

Options: “Note”does not appear. Tried many times. Also, “Highlight” appears every so often, it’s unstable. Please fix.

Works great for Bible reading, study etc. would be perfect if orientation would change with device orientation change.

Update: I recant! I forgot to update my review until now. I am so glad this basic function has returned! Thank you! Five stars! The new way of copying verses is a real deal breaker for me. I think it is terrible. Formerly being able to select the text you want, like a basic feature in a browser, or how eSword LT used to have, is way more ideal and problem free. I am disappointed in such a basic feature being removed.

Just upgraded my iPad Pro to iOS 17.1 and then upgraded your latest (esword) update. Now the app won’t open.

This Bible study software has been a blessing to me. I have used it for many years, starting on windows and eventually switching to iOS & Mac. The ease of highlighting, even commentaries, creating notes, and searching in own notes and commentaries is amazing. The wealth of free resources, in addition to paid, is unparalleled in Bible software, as far as I know. I said ‘free’. Creating tags, custom categories-all good. Yet I can only give it 4 stars. This is because the app does not sync between devices. On the Apple platform one has to use Airdrop to manually sync. I would pay the developer good money to be able to wirelessly sync between devices. I have tried to switch to other software but I came back to E-Sword. I now have a routine where I use one device (iPad) mainly for study and notes and then Airdrop to my iPhone for reference as I go about daily life. I’ll say it again, I would pay good money for this missing key feature. As it stands, this software is a bargain and the best tool for Bible study for the ordinary person. Why not crowd-fund the extra programming needed to create a product that can wirelessly sync across devices and be in line with most software? Nevertheless, thank-you for providing E-Sword!

I am very much enjoying this so I purchased the LT version. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because it will not rotate to landscape on my tablet. That is very annoying. Please do an update.

First I bought this app for my iPad. Then I also had to buy light version for iPhone. I bought both because, I was using Blueline Bible (BLB) app for most of my interlinear use. Since BLB is free, it is supported by contributions. I felt guilty using the BLB for free, so I bought this app. This app, compared to BLB, very inferior in its features for interlinear use.

Really blessed by this app, it has deffinitely improved since the last time I used it. I used to highlight in the commentary but it wouldn't work properly, there seemed to have been a bug. Now the bug has been fixed! I'm so thankful I have purchased this app again! It even has different coloured highlights and other cool stuff. My Pastor recomended this app to us. I would also recommend it.

Search in Arabic gives no result due to short vowels in Arabic. Please ad a choice to ignore short vowels in Arabic, otherwise do state that function as not available. Thanks, it is good work.

I was able to ‘family share’ this app with my wife but now it is asking her to download it and pay for it. Is there a way to download it back on her phone without having to pay for it again??
