e-Sword LT: Bible Study to Go

I’ve been using this app for years and it’s the best easy to move around copy, print notes. The collection of books is great. For me it’s ‘The best of the Best’.

I was initially lukewarm about this app, but I’ve been using it for over a year and now find it indispensable. If you’re KJV this has everything you need for study, including all the classic commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries etc with a straightforward, easy to navigate interface. It’s a pity that the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps are all quite separate with no syncing of content/settings between them. And none of them get much in the way of updates or improvements—they all still look like rather elderly Windows ports. But overall, they’re good value, work well and are easy to recommend to anyone who has found the likes of Logos simply too overwhelming.

This bible app is really good against its peers. It is able to search scriptures well but has an annoying spell check text box which means you need to constantly correct your search text. Once you have this sorted the search is very powerful. With the new iOS update the app can no longer do the following things: Highlight/ un-highlight Bookmark/ un-bookmark Copy Any item that was previously on its pop up menu when you tap and hold. Instead you get the standard Apple one. It would be very useful if this can be fixed as it now makes the app a read only one. On the whole, it is an excellent app. The thought that has gone into the accessibility without any additional cost is superb. I can only give it 3 stars until it becomes a study app.

Convenient navigation between: Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries…

A marvellous app but after paying I soon realised its not compatible with my iPad version, they’re slightly different, iPhone is LT & iPad is HD, this makes no sense at all. I didn’t mind paying twice because overall it’s excellent and wanted to support it, but it was a shock that they’re not compatible. The iPhone doesn’t have an editor button so I can’t put notes in, again useless. And, on both there isn’t a go back button so you have to find your own way back, a bit time consuming. Despite these flaws it’s excellent, but would you the developer please consider fixing these issues as they’re a big deal.

However, when using the links on words to Strong’s Concordance, then use further links found in the definition of the word, there is no back button. So you need to go back to the bible, find the word again, click on the link to return to where you were(!). Sometimes there is no way back at all (typically when you go to dictionaries). You need to shut down the app and start again! Would be so much more helpful if, when using a link in the reference under a Strong’s number, you could easily return to the original or previous number. A ‘back’ button would be so amazingly useful! :) and the navigation buttons at the bottom works be helpful on the dictionary/lexicon page :) Thank you for a great app!

I could give this app a thousand stars if possible! Better than anything I have purchased from the App Store. This is truly an all-in-one bible app. Thank you for such wonderful app.

This application been blessed because lot of info and commentaries where easy to understand through HOLY SPIRIT . But I wish they have same free application for iPad as well.

The best app for ever for learning the word of GOD on the go at any time this app I use on all my devises
