Still cannot see all times an event repeats
Unfortunately, the app still has the same crucial flaw that it had since the beginning. The same event, like a forum presentation, which repeats multiple times, does not list all the days and times it repeats. Instead, the event is simply duplicated at different times. This makes it impossible to plan what day works in your schedule, or even find out if you have a choice. You can only, once you find an event, do a search for its title and hope the search catches them. You then would have to add them all to your schedule, and at the end go through your schedule manually to figure out a scheme that works. That there is no way to view the schedule by event, only by time and date, is such a crucial flaw in a scheduling system.
Eaa
Eaa radio cuts out sentencing you to listening to repeated adds at a higher volume then the content. It is also delayed from air show and often does not match air show content. At what it costs to camp here EAA needs to do better
What’s the purpose
I signed up and got my code and logged in. Then it ask for another code, which I have no idea how to get. Totally worthless. Don’t waste your time.
The old app was better
The map feature of this app is lame and annoying. The old app had an interactive gps map which was great.
Requires WiFi?
The app doesn’t save maps to the device, so you need internet EACH time you want to view a map. Have they ever seen internet connectivity at AirVenture?
Why such a drama?
I was called away from my phone and my code expired. Now I can’t get a fresh code. Seriously?
Inadequate as single tool for the event.
Tried to use it for the first couple of days, but at first it was the inconvenience of the search tool that wouldn’t display results depending on how you type in your query. And the worst and dumbest part is that it downloads the map every time you open it. When you are on an event that the Wi-Fi does not work and the mobile carriers are overloaded, the least would be having an offline version of the map. But no, every time it has to load it again, putting unnecessary strain in the IT structure and making you wait just to see what direction you need to walk to. Their little guide magazine is indispensable while the app is this bad.
Good, but search tool is inadequate
Unlike other reviewers I find logging in straightforward and the maps clear and easy to use. What is missing is a good search tool. Put in “Theater in the Woods” for example, and it comes up with four events for the entire week. A search by a presenter’s last name also comes up empty. Automated index tools exist to make this a snap. Adding one would make this a five-star app.
Not user friendly
I set up the app on my phone and was finally successful after many, many attempts. Now I’m trying to access my account on my ipad and it won’t let me do it. This worked last year but not allowed to access the app on multiple devices this year? How about just using my EAA credentials to login (instead of the convoluted new system) so I can access the app on any device that I want to use? Disappointed.
Why a new app every year?
It’s impressive that EAA somehow manages to make a worse app each year, but it’s even more shocking that they make it a completely different app each year that has to be re-downloaded again every year for a one-week event.
