## Earth-Now Description
NASA's Earth Now is an application that visualizes recent global climate data from Earth Science satellites, including surface air temperature, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, and water vapor as well as gravity and sea level variations. Data sets are visually described using "false color" maps. Color-coded legends are provided to indicate relative strength or weakness of an environmental condition. The resulting 3D model of the Earth may be rotated by a single finger stroke, and may also be zoomed in or out by pinching 2 fingers. It was developed by the Earth Science Communications and Visualization Technology Applications and Development Teams at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, with support from NASA Headquarters.

## Earth-Now Reviews in United States

### ***** "So Cool!"
I can’t stop opening this app throughout the day, I just think it’s amazing! You can watch the earth in real time, choosing any area to look at, or you can choose the animated dataset wherein you get a glimpse of each day of the last week or so. I am not a scientist and I don’t know what half of the listed measurements mean, but watching the weather patterns and satellites in real time is so stinking cool.
-- bugsyk87, 2025-03-14

### ***** "Load strip"
Very good app, hope you just move loading strip from the center of the screen, it annoying during low internet speed, tanks
-- ha999999, 2020-02-28

### ***** "Amazing resource!"
It’s amazing the data and information that NASA is able to share through this app! Love it!
-- Bo A. B., 2019-11-22

### ****- "Pretty good"
I am doing a project on climate change and this definitely gave me a better picture in my brain although it does need an update because it totally blocked out Antarctica still try it, it’s really handy
-- grading and rating, 2019-11-17

### ***-- "Cool idea, needs update"
This is a pretty cool app with lots of info to display, could use some work updating the UI a little, especially for new notch phones.
-- bratwursted, 2019-11-08

### ***** "Pretty Great"
I hope they continue to update and add more content and info as they are able to.
-- Heathen54, 2019-10-31

### ***** "Easy to use & Research based"
This delightful App comes from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the credible California based science institution, CalTech. In partnership with NASA, this app streams live data from a dozen orbiting satellites to give the curious minded visual representations of temperature, water moisture, carbon dioxide, and more.
Perfectly integrates with many NGSS standards from early elementary through secondary school.
-- KeekPose, 2018-09-05

### ***** "Awesome"
This app is awesome! I find it very useful as a visual to show people the current CO2 atmospheric data when engaging with people about the dangers we face do to a lack of coverage by the media. NASA does incredible things on a shoestring budget! Earth now gives the public a direct link to our satellites most up to date data of earth’s natural systems. Thanks NASA keep up the hard work!
-- 1manclimtcmpn, 2018-07-30

### *---- "South pole covered"
What is the big deal with this people?

South pole is covered with a black circle, useless
-- Angel amgel, 2018-04-07

### ***** "Perfect"
This is a great app.And what the hell is NASA propaganda?!?!
-- Star hiker, 2017-06-01
