- Eight different Earth display types that include population and tectonic plate maps.

- Four different custom view 'presets'.

- Solid and wire frame 3D views with transparent Earth ability. 

- A Sequencer that shows Earthquakes as they occurred using animation loops.

In addition to providing several 'live' sources of current Earthquake information, an Atlas database is also included.   The Atlas database shows over 4000 years of Historic Earthquake information.  This database (updated periodically) is built-in to Earthquake 3D and is available even when you are off-line.

Started in 2003 as a desktop application, it has become a widely adopted standard for video presentations and visualizations of Earthquake information. I like this app. As far as I know it’s the only one available for iOS with these features.

I would however like to suggest that the date and time countdown remain on the top right hand corner instead of disappearing when I touch the screen to move around the globe to view the seismic events. It’s a bummer that when I touch the screen the date and time countdown disappears. Please fix!!!

Its a ok source of information all together and a good source of quick info. I’m guessing the USGS is it’s main feed and they don’t always post every earthquake. For example the 6.6 that happened off the south Easter cost of Cuba on 4/29/20 at 2:30 est

Bought it a year ago after the Lombok quakes.  As did my husband and another friend here.  Theirs works fine.  Mine won’t even open.  Last year contacted developer and they were unable to help.  Suggestion was a new phone.  Got a new phone and it still doesn’t work.  Very disappointed as it would be useful where I live.

I am disappointed for a paid app. Not sure if it’s because I’m just not familiar with how to use the app or what, but they don’t even provide a link one how to use the features. The features they say the app has, I am not seeing them. I don’t see the volcano overlays, don’t see the option to import maps from other sources, can’t click on earthquake magnitudes to get details, etc. This was the whole point as to why I bought this app and I don’t have nearly half of the features I am supposed to have. Extremely disappointed.

California just had a 6.4 magnitude earthquake followed by a 7.1 and it’s not even showing. I know dragged the scales on the magnitude and age gauges and they aren’t even showing on this app. I am very disappointed. I will stick to my Earthquake 3D from Dutchsinse on my pc, which was FREE by the way. It’s accuracy is on point. I feel dumb for paying for this garbage.

I’m very dissapointed with this app. It doesn’t provide access to worldwide quake data, only 5 or six earthquake monitoring sites, with only the most basic of info., plus it’s now removing quakes that are 24 hrs old from its two day old monitor, meaning yesterday’s quakes aren’t even showing up unless I set the monitor to past 5 days! (And it keeps defaulting to ONE DAY old!

Other than that, a bit confusing as it seems to not keep my settings and you can only zoom in a little, but it is fun to keep at it and learn more.
Currently this is not my go-to earthquake monitor, perhaps it will be later.

Following Dutchsinse for years, I was always disappointed that I couldn’t follow along on my Mac. This is truly the next best thing. There’s a detailed tutorial which is a great help in the first setup and a great FAQ for new users. Most importantly, I can choose my data feed. I would highly recommend this app. It is worth every penny.
