This app never was great but latest version is just terrible. Wrong pictures, appalling grammar (is there no proof reading?) and asks for login every time despite having a subscription. Web site much better so why bother with the app?

What is the matter with this app? It keeps on telling me I am not subscribed when I am. I cannot read the e edition on the day but I can read yesterday’s and past editions. Why wait until tomorrow to read todays e edition. I have removed the app and reloaded it but it still doesn’t work properly. It’s a nonsense.

I’m really impressed with the app (v16.1). I’ve never liked the EDP’s web version, but find this much better. Thing I’d like to see improved:

— Resume my place in an article when returning to the app.
— Links to past stories should open in the app rather than in my browser.
— Photos should be zoomable. On the website I can at least expand the display to see more detail.
— Comments should sync with those on the website.

I can open it on safari but it defeats the object of the app.

Took an hour trying to find how to get the digital edition back on my 87 year old mother’s iPad. Shame on you EDP making such a big change without sending out a helpful email. She’s been without her paper for over 2 weeks before she finally asked for my help.

I have lost the EDP on my phone why ?

The problem solved but only after verbal instructions from a help desk Lady at the EDP. The Developer should have included navigation instructions when the default change occurred. Better still give advice in advance before activating the new format which left Customers to find a way to get back to the full EDP and not even knowing if it was possible. Really poor marketing leaving us floundering.

Not the same, this change has ruined the character of the paper. I do not like it at all. If I could get it delivered promptly on time each day I would give this poor version up. You cannot rely on delivery which is why I moved to electronic version now this has changed I doubt I will renew. Very poor.

### ***** "The ‘New Look’ digital EDP+"
I used to enjoy reading the EDP online every morning wherever I was in the world. The new version is not so easy to read, instead of flowing from page to page we have to choose which features to look at. The original version was like an old friend and I for one, found it so much easier to read. What prompted the change and were the readers asked at any point for their views. Sorry to be so negative but I am not happy with it.
