I’ve tried a lot of fasting apps and this one is hands down the best so far. Thank you for not charging a ridiculous amount of money for what is essentially a countdown, the price is perfectly reasonable! I like the ways it integrates with the health app & the design is beautiful.
A fasting app that is fairly priced, pack the latest Apple technologies like Dynamic Island, has a good Apple Watch app, but most importantly isn’t a data guzzler sending my data to some server unnecessarily. The apps by this developer are always so well thought out.
Absolutely love the simplicity of the app. It’s straightforward and easy to use with a great design.
I tried a lot of fasting apps, and this one just feels so well polished and fun to use. I hope they add tracking for ketones and blood glucose, that’s the only complaint I have. Other than that, it’s great!
5 stars
There are dozens of different fasting trackers on the App Store, and I have tried most of them. This one, by far, is my favorite. First requirement: app has to offer a Watch app. FastMinder has it, many don’t. Second requirement: Watch app has to be clean, easy to use, and provide detail about fasting status and water intake. FastMinder has it, many don’t. Interface: the FastMinder interface is clean and easy to use, and is filled with easy to understand and help statistics. It’s not cluttered with unnecessary features like calorie tracking. Personally, I’m not taking a picture of my food and tracking every single calorie I put in my body. If you want that, this develop has another app for that. Me, I don’t want it and appreciate that it’s not in this app. Water and weight tracking: this app also allows you to track water and your weight loss along your journey. Bottom line, this app is fantastic and extremely helpful.
LIFE app was free and very detailed shouldn’t have to pay for it. This app is good but costs… right now with the economy its hard enough paying bills
Edit: New feature request - please allow us to customize the notifications or just simplify them. The 30 min and final notifications are just way too long. Please just add a simple “fast starts in 30 mins” or “fast is ended.” The current notifications are pretty annoying, take up too much space, have unnecessary emojis, and make me want to turn them off. This is the best fasting app for iOS that balances features with price. It doesn’t have as many features as some of the overpriced subscription-only apps but has more features and is more informative than the very basic cheap fasting apps. The fasting guide and percentage/timer makes it easier to maintain a fast because you can see what fasting phase you’re in - definitely helps motivate you when you’re feeling really hungry but see you’re in a good fat burning phase. I also like how it incorporates weight tracking and sleep. I have 2 minor requests that would make this app perfect in my opinion: 1. Specify days of the week for fasting. I usually aim for 6-7 days a week of fasting but would like the option to skip some Friday or Saturday nights without seeming like I missed my goal when it’s a planned skip in the fasting schedule. 2. Allow us to set a target water goal that we can “hit” and don’t need to add more water. I aim for the 67 oz at least on here but since you can go above it I feel obligated to keep adding water so the amount is accurate. I’d rather just have the option to specify the minimum water target was hit and that’s it.
I’ve been fasting for a couple of years now. I was using the paid version of the Life app, but when they shut down, I had to find a replacement. I tried a bunch of apps and even paid for a few that I will never use 🤦♀️ This app was the winner. I like the simplicity of it and without all of the “extras” that I don’t need. I like the Watch app and complication, I like the phone widget and the lock screen live activity. One plus is that I no longer get messages from creepy dudes like I did on the Life app 😂 The only thing I wish it had, like Life app did, was a fasting schedule. I was able to set a schedule such as fast 16:8 Monday through Friday and 12:12 on Saturday and Sunday. It’s not a deal breaker and it’s easy to switch fasting out with one tap, so not a huge deal. I also like this developer’s app, FitnessView and use the widget on my phone and complication on my watch. I highly recommend both apps.
