Navigation is an achilles heal. Selecting something like support navigates you out of the investment section of the app with no mechanism to return other than to kill the app and reopen. This is the same when viewing any research data on a share… which makes this very frustrating to use. 2. New invest interface feels bloated. I can see the effort put in to make it more user friendly by introducing groups and categories, it just feels clunky and having too many options adds noise to the interface. 3. Buying shares - I’ve encountered instances where I’ve searched for a share ( Grindrod Shipping - as an example), the share is displayed in the list of results, but after selecting it and my account I am back at the shares dashboard with no error or message. I suppose this interaction exacerbates item number 2 above. When I attempt to either log in or register with a new email account or the email and username you claim that I have used before, it tells me the following: “It looks like you already have an account. Let’s help you recover it”. Then two options are provided below :”Retrieve your username” or “Reset your password”. Regardless of any attempts to follow these instructions I am met with the same email in my inbox: “We could not find any accounts that match this email address and date of birth”. So which is it? App is painfully inefficient and by todays standards there are tons of better alternatives in terms of user experience. Definite no no for frequent users. As a user in South Africa most decent banks now have better in house platforms for stocks, ETFs and FX. Most fees are agreeable on EE, however they will annihilate your cash in a flash if you’re not careful. High fees for dormant cash, high spreads and excessively unfavourable prices on market orders. Not to mention “unsettled cash”sometimes taking weeks to settle before withdrawal.
