Sehr übersichtlich und genial der „Funk“-Button, der alles groß darstellt, was im Funk relevant ist. Es ist klar, dass diese App in einer anderen Liga spielt als Foreflight oder SkyVector, insofern erwarte ich lediglich eine grundsolide Begleitung von VFR-Vorhaben. Aber dem ist nicht so. Für mich der echte Abturner die Kundenkommunikation. Es wird gesagt, dass man zwei Länderkarten in der _Grundversion_ bekommt. Leider ist das in der Pro-Version auch nicht anders, nur steht das nirgends. Interessanter Weise kann man die OpenStreetmap-Karten für ganz Europa laden, aber nicht die OpenTopo-Maps. Für diese und auch für die sehr guten Vektorkarten scheint dieses zwei-Länder-Limit zu gelten. Das ist für eine „Pro“-Version eindeutig zu wenig, zumal ich am Bodensee wohne und schon von vorneherein drei Länder benötige. Der direkte Wettbewerb hat gesamt Europa im Grundpreis mit drin. Klar muss man überall für die offiziellen ICAO-Karten bezahlen, aber darum und um andere kommerzielle Kartenprodukte geht es in diesem Punkt nicht. Es ist auch nicht klar, inwieweit alle Karten in der Flugvorbereitung herunter geladen werden. Da werden zwar Progressbars angezeigt, aber was schon auf dem iPad ist und was nicht, kann man nirgends sehen. Bedeutet: Kann sein, dass man aus der Darstellungsgrenze fliegt und bei schlechtem LTE-Empfang dann eben in die Röhre schaut. Und überhaupt dauert das Anzeigen der bereits geladenen Karten (M2-iPad) eine Ewigkeit. Schnelles Umschalten kann man vergessen. Einen Kundensupport gibt es nur marginal, sprich nur per Mail und mit einem gerüttelten Zeitverzug von einigen Tagen. Wenn man auf ein echtes Problem stösst, dann bitte viel Geduld mitbringen. Ausserdem ist die App an vielen Stellen nicht durchdacht. Es ist nicht möglich, aus dem Beispielflugzeug Cessna 172N eine Cessna 172S mit aktueller Wägung abzuleiten und diese dann zu speichern, so dass sie immer wieder aufgerufen werden kann. Mag sein, dass das mit „Pro-Flugzeug erstellen“ geht, aber dann sind alle Grunddaten einer 172 von vorne neu einzugeben, anstatt, dass man die Ladepunkte nutzen könnte. Das geht woanders auch besser. Dann gibt es eine Tonne von Kleinigkeiten: Kurz gesagt sollte man ein Profi-UI Designer alle Menüs und auch Schriftarten (!) anschauen. Die Menüs sind redundant, durcheinander und in einer komischen „Kompressed“ Font gestaltet, -- flyingdoctors, 2025-07-22 ### ***** "Sehr intuitive und hilfreiche App" Die technischen Mängel kann ich nicht bestätigen. Bei mir kein Faktor und läuft rund. Ich bin noch recht neu in der Fliegerei. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach und intuitiv.
