EC Play offers easy access to all features and settings of the system. It allows you to command your system, set it up and control it.

Browse your music directly from your iOS device. The app can also function as a remote control, and can be used to access the external inputs of the EC Living and Classic Line products.
With all your music at your fingertips, you can rediscover your collection.

### ****- "Nearly there."
I love my Tana SL2 and L2 speakers. I also have ordered the Sira L1 subwoofer, mostly  because I often stream movies and TV series through AirPlay from my Apple TV. 

The sound is amazing, and the connection between speakers and the app is stable and never lost. The app is intuitive and easy ro use, but there are room for improvement. 

1: I wish there was a «search» function for the internet radio, so that one did not have to copy in the URL.

2: I don’t like to have a lot of remotes on my table. When I use the AppleTV remote with AirPlay and changes volume, the system adds 6 - 8 clicks of sound for each click pressed on Apple remote. I can use the app and change volume there, one click at the time, but the buttons for this on my iPhone is _very_ small, which complicates it. 🤷‍♂️

I know, it might would behave different if I used optical out from my TV instead of AirPlay, but I prefer to use as few cables as possible.

Exept for those two things - Bravo Electrocompaniet! 💫

### *---- "Fantastic speakers crap app"
Tana SL1 and Tana L1 are fantastic hardware. I owned them 6+ yrs.

They never get used because the app is unstable. Both the original app and this one. Loses connection all the time. Reconnection is a pain in the A., and often does not work.

I’ve tried getting help, but all the advice I got basically is “use the web interface”. That is not what I payed for.

I went to buyers remorse, through anger and resignation to just remorse.

From the comments I see that nothing has changed the last 3 years that my Tanas have been gathering dust.

The app disconnects from the speaker all the time. Good speakers, but the app and connectivity really sucks

Har 2 stk Rena SA-1, kjøpt av gammel tro på at EC leverer.
Det gjør de ikke. Håpløst grensesnitt, bare heng, ubrukelig app og elendig kundeservice.
Radiostreamer mesteparten ute av drift, og anlegget kobles ikke mot airplay mer enn 5 min av gangen.
Kjempeskuffet.
Styr unna, kjøp Sonos eller Bluesound.
Dette er pengene ut av vinduet.

Appen man skal styre Tana SL2 med er så dårlig at jeg ville styrt unna hele høyttalersystemet. Forferdelig treg i bruk, og henger seg opp ofte.

klar anbefaling: Kjøp noe annet enn disse høyttalerne og dette systemet!

The app an the interface in itself is ok, the big problem is that it hardly ever gets updated. The result is that you end up sitting with a set of speakers you don’t know whether is going to function or not. Listening to the radio can suddenly be a hassle, same with Tidal and/or Spotify. 
This has been an issue since the launch of EC Living. It’s a real shame, because the speakers are very good. Now they are collecting dust, more than being in use, as I’m tired of having to connect and reconnect, install ans uninstall just to be able to stream music. I had expected way more from a company like Electrocompaniet.

The app is OK, but it needs a refresh. As an example, the old version (EC Remote) did show the volume level with a numeric figure in addition to the grafical display of the volume level. More acurate.

+ Refreshing look
- Changing input to either coax or toslink while streaming from local library or spotify will stop the music. Can’t de-select this option and it doesn’t seem to time out?
- Getting a lot of «this room is currently unreachable, trying to reconnect», however the EC Remote app is responsive. Tana is running 2.2.0
- Is it supposed to replace «EC remote»? It still miss a lot of functions compared to that app.
