The Echoes App allows you to listen to Echoes and Echoes Online (subscription required) and explore all the great Echoes content!
Echoes is a daily two-hour music soundscape, distributed by Public Radio International and broadcast on 130 radio stations from Maine to California. With host John Diliberto, a writer for Billboard, Pulse and other magazines, Echoes brings together a wide array of styles, from acoustic to electronic, jazz to space music, the avant-garde to rock. Echoes is a sound that is cross-cultural and trans-millennial, merging cultures and forms, technology and tradition, the ancient past and the possible future.
In addition to the many recordings heard on Echoes, we also produce interview features with popular modern music figures such as Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Enya, as well as less well-known known composers such as Dead Can Dance, Steve Roach, and The Orb. Echoesalso produces Living Room Concerts, live performances recorded in musician’s homes or studios and broadcast on Echoes. Concerts thus far have included Mark Isham, Steve Roach, Patrick O’Hearn, Ottmar Liebert, Michael Brook, Robert Fripp, Nightnoise, R. Carlos Nakai, Ancient Future, Sheila Chandra, Adrian Legg, Michael Hedges and many more.

I Support Echoes
I’m always looking for interesting music I’ve never heard before. John Diliberto quite often fits the bill. Never had a problem with the Echoes app. Thanks to all that make this possible.
Ambient home base
If you like ambient music and the skills of the Echoes program to go and find the most interesting music, this is the app to learn about it.
Only browser will play
iOS iphoneX APP won’t play. I guess no biggie... safari will.
Almost There
Love the app, my only request: show the artist, song, and album artwork that is currently playing, you know, like all other music apps do

Great choice of tracks
Incredible programming, adequate app
The app meets the basic needs, but it would be awesome to skip to the tracks you want, easily see what song is currently playing, and pick up where you left off in a program when reopening the app. Rock solid program though. I love me some Echoes.
GREAT Service - subpar app
Echoes Online / subscription is lovely - definitely recommend. The app itself is not great. You cannot view songs / playlists from too far ago. You cannot download anything for offline play. The current track is not highlighted while playing. You cannot select which feeds to show in the home page (if you only listen to certain ones, for example). The status of the track / app is lost very easily - restarting it upon relaunches. You cannot favorite items / shows. I am sure there are many features I could think of, but the general point is the app needs quite a bit of work. Again, great service and I still recommend people download the app, but it’s far from perfect.

App dies on 9.3.6 iPad mini. (:-( (Freelance software tester for hire.)

Wonderful, amazing, enjoyable music hidden behind bad user experience app design. Could and should be so much more.
