It helps prevent parents and caregivers from accidentally leaving a young child in the back seat of the car. The eClip app helps you monitor the inside car temperature so it’s comfortable for your child in the back seat while travelling; most importantly it also helps prevent a child from being left behind when you walk more than 25 feet (8m) away from your car. Additionally eClip app indicates when it’s time to change the battery and constantly checks that there is good connection between the eClip and the app so you can drive with piece of mind that your baby is comfortable and safe. App routinely crashes and won’t sync. Has to be turned on before each use. You have to turn the app on each time. Therefore it isn’t reliable. It should turn on each time and not require an app actively running. This should be running in the background all the time. If you rely on this, you may end up regretting it. I find it is safer to not use this at all. I had high hopes. Im giving this app one star to hoped save lives. The temperature upon arrival reads 85 F with my thermostat set on 69. It has been 20 minutes and the reading just now got to 75. I can’t trust this device with a life.
