## Effekt Description
Effekt is a powerful mix between an image editor and a visual toy that generates artwork in ultra high resolution.

The artwork is generated on the GPU, using compact and blazingly fast programs known as fragment shaders.

Packed with features
Despite being a one-screen app, it packs a load of visual effects, each with their own custom set of tools.
All effects start off relatively simple, allowing the user to tweak the appearance to their liking, all while running smoothly at 120fps using Apple’s Metal framework. All changes are immediately reflected on the screen, creating an instant feedback loop and fast iteration.

The app comes with 30+ color schemes and a variety of image editing tools known from photography apps such as exposure, saturation, brightness and contrast, but also less common tools such as stair width, color buckets and kaleidoscope.

High resolution export
The app comes with a number of export formats for both video and still images, ranging from the generic 1080p, 4K and 8K as well as specific formats tailored to some of Apple's devices such as the Studio Display, the XDR Display and the Apple Watch.

All effects can be exported both as a still image and hi-res animated video up to 30s in 120fps. The hi-res still images are perfectly suitable for high quality poster prints with a resolution of up to 8000x8000 pixels.

Technology
Effekt has been under development for a long time and is built from scratch using Apple's latest rendering technologies in the Metal Framework, all using native Swift and no third-party graphics frameworks. The app itself contains only a few graphics assets, as all the art is generated in code on the GPU.

This allows for a super lightweight app with a download size of just over 4mb.

Effekt is a visual toy and an image editor and helps you create stunning art in high quality.

## Effekt Reviews in United States

### ***** "so good I RECOMMEND IT !!!!"
OMG
-- hi there bili bob, 2024-11-18

### ***** "fun"
it so fun and easy to do and its free to down lode
-- kelyha2435, 2024-04-09

### ***** "Premium unlock is too darn much$$$"
$$$50?nice though
-- AlanLaBudde, 2024-03-23

### ***** "Effekt"
Although probably meant as a form of entertainment, where infinite, hypnotic swirling patterns are created, this app can also be utilized for more practical purposes. As a photographer I can include favored created patters as backgrounds for some of my pictures, avoiding having to hunt all over for a desired design.
-- anaglyphman, 2022-12-13

### ***-- "Free version"
It’s pretty cool but the free version has lines through the whole picture that just ruin it for me.
-- FuhQu, 2022-07-06

### ***** "Wow, amazing!"
Very very awesome app with solid and very good UI and UX!
Endless possiblities to make great art wallpapers.
And there are reasonable prices if you want more.

Well done 👍🏻
-- erkage, 2022-05-26

### ***** "Lovin it"
Fun simple app with cool results.
-- Tinycg, 2022-05-06

### ***** "Mesmerizing image synthesizer"
Using the myriad controls, you can explore geometric and organic images. The process to arrive at an image is more happenstance than intentional creation. It's a fun process, which coupld be a pastime on its own, but you can also export resulting images that are suitible for design elements, backgrounds, or desktop images.

It still feels like an early version, I look forward to seeing this app evolve in the years ahead. It needs a bit better navigation: there are so many options and knobs, it would be better to have a text menu or search to find what you need. Another missing feature is the ability to save a preset in the app: if you want to regenerate and image with slightly different settings, it's currently impossible because the app can't save state of settings (not even the last image generated), and there are so many controls, it would be difficult to arrive to the exact same image again.
-- Q ✨, 2022-04-28

### ***** "Really Well Designed"
The app developer did a phenomenal job integrating Apple’s developer tools to make an app that produces beautiful images from a relatively small device.
-- rvsidekick6, 2022-04-25

### ***** "Gorgeous"
I can absolutely see myself losing a ton of time to making the perfect images with this. Love it!
