## EGG Genius Description
Remote control for your Big Green Egg! 
Remotely manage and monitor cooking temperatures, monitor the temperature of your food, view graphs of your cooks and receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low. 

The EGG Genius app works with an EGG Genius WiFi Temperature Controller to:
•	Control the device through your smartphone, tablet or computer to remotely manage and monitor the internal temperature of the EGG 
•	Monitor the temperature of your food; view graphs of your cooks
•	Receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low 
•	Quickly reach your desired cooking temperature as the blower ramps up to fan the lighted charcoal; once the desired temp is reached, the variable speed blower automatically adjusts the blower speed to optimize the set temperature. 
•	Automatically lowers the pit temperature to keep your food warm when the cook is complete.
•	Detects the sudden temperature drop from opening the dome and turns the fan off temporarily to avoid over-stoking the fire.
•	In the case of a power outage, the unit continues running at the saved set temperature and reconnects to the WiFi network automatically when power returns. 
•	Use up to 3 meat probes at once – additional meat probes with Y-cable can be purchased separately. 
•	Powered by Flame Boss®

Must have device but it could be better. It does as advertised but needs polished. 

Others covered the device. Basically as they all said, very hard to connect first time. I almost returned. It drops during the cook. If a long cook, be prepared for a few drops. 

The software has navigation issues (wonky) and they should consider fixing and add premium service features:
* Meat temperature trend: Show average temperature increase rate over a specified amount of time.
* Ability to add notes on trend lines.
* Ability to add pictures to the cook.
* Details screen with user fields and standard fields that can be filled out and searchable.Eg: Neat name, weight, side up, rest time, rub used/ingredients, etc.

I have a development crew and I understand the pressures. There are several gaping issues, but I assume the programming staff is more of a back office crew. They need to be given some time to revisit the app or outsource it, if it can be afforded. 

Almost good. Almost.

Oh…please give us an “end button”. Or maybe someone give the developer a green egg so this stuff will be obvious.

I can’t begin to express how frustrating this device is. When it works (1 out of 50 times) it is great. If you need to produce food for anyone the other 49 times….better get ready to order pizza. Nearly impossible to get connected to WIFI and keep it stable. Connect with it directly….nearly impossible. Scan a QR Code feature…great idea…but the box doesn’t have QR codes that the app recognizes. Wait here is an idea! Who doesn’t love entering Serial Numbers over and over and over and over and over and over every time the app no longer works and you need to start over by re-adding the device.  Fire who designed this product and the app….bring in someone who actually understands how to build a friendly intelligent application/smart device. It is 2024…this isn’t to much to ask for a $300 device.

Frequent app lockups, login issues, and connectivity issues. Two software engineers here trying to connect the EggGenius to my WiFi router using the App with latest iOS. A trifecta of problems makes the device unusable. Nice concept. Poor execution. Bad strategy on my part for trying this out for the first time on Memorial Day!
