The Electrify America app makes electric vehicle (EV) charging simple with access to the largest open Hyper-Fast charging network in the U.S. Use it to find nearby charging stations, manage your charging sessions, and more — all right from your phone. Compatible with CarPlay.

Public Charging
Charge in as little as 30 minutes with Electrify America’s Hyper-Fast chargers. The Electrify America app helps you locate stations, start charging, and keep track of your sessions.

Electrify America’s powerful DC fast charging stations support all CCS (SAE Combo) and CHAdeMO-compatible EVs. You can also use the app to find Electrify America’s Level 2 chargers (with J1772 connectors). 

Electrify America supports 14+ major automakers and is compatible with most EVs on the road today, including popular models like Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and BMW i4.

Plug&Charge:
Electrify America offers Plug&Charge at all our DC fast chargers for a seamless charging experience. Simply plug in, and the charger communicates with your EV to handle the rest. Plug&Charge is only available for capable EVs. ### *---- "DO NOT USE WITH CHAdeMO CHARGERS!"
Taking a road trip through Ohio using a Nissan Leaf. They require CHAdeMO chargers, and the typical CCS is NOT compatible with the car. The Electrify America app gave me directions to a station that has 1 CHAdeMO charger but 7 CCS chargers. The CHAdeMO charger will not reliably connect to Nissan Leafs, and I had a "cannot connect to car" error. EA support has no idea how to fix it and they will not reimburse you. This has happened not once but twice in a row, and now I am in the middle of nowhere and have to get a tow truck to take me about 70 miles from here. 

If Electrify America was a successful network, they would either (1) reimburse for the tow and wasted time, (2) update the app/network to fix the CHAdeMO issue, or (3) update the app/network so it doesn't take you to stations that don't work (even though they say they are working). They have done none of this.

PLEASE, for your safety, do NOT use Electrify America if you use CHAdeMO, and do NOT rely on Electrify America stations in sparsely populated areas.

This app is misleading because when you use it during charging, when swiped to show charges, it appears to show that charges will not start until the battery is fully charged, but it charged me after 30 minutes.  It was also misleading because the charging speed shown by the app differed from the charging speed posted on the charger.

The app can’t find the charging location even when I’m standing right in front of it. The system often doesn’t recognize that I’m a member, and the app logs me out at odd times. Electrify America is slowly getting better overall, but they were soooo terrible previously, doing things right 50% of the time feels like a 1000% improvement. I’m rooting for this company, but man they make it difficult sometimes.

Does not allow you to check the status without creating an account, the “skip” button on the upper right does not work anymore, it’s just there to annoy you.

I think that you should make a reservation system there are about 10-11 cars and no organization. I think that if all the chargers are taken, people should be able to reserve the next time slot and they have five minutes after that person is done charging to get to the spot just in case it’s a lot of cars or traffic

They will put multiple $50 holds on your bank card even though the charge machine doesn’t work!!!  $150 in holds until you find a machine that works! Good luck! They are awful! Customer service is also of no help as usual. All of these companies have awful customer service!  Stick with gasoline. Electric isn’t better.

Forces auto reload of a payment account when it drops below $5. I will not use chargers that operate on gift cards like this. If I can’t drive up and pay for what I need and am instead forced to pay $10 at a time, I will drive farther for a more reasonable charger. Despicable. These 5 star ratings are paid for.
