Choose where to host your data - from any public server (the largest free server is matrix.org, but there are plenty of others to choose from) to creating your own personal server and hosting it on your own domain. When will element X support one-to-one voice and video calls like element?This X client always prompts me to verify the key. I have already verified it. Sometimes I have to verify it again. It is really annoying. It also keeps getting stuck on the verification interface. I have to uninstall the app to log out. This logic is so stupid.

The app looks and runs amazing, but there is no user management nor message search, so I need to keep the old element installed for more advanced actions. PLEASE restore the “Modern” message UI, the app would be a 5 for me if that was brought back; the bubbles take up too much screen space for my taste!

I’m trying to embrace this for my teams but there’s too much missing for this to be a viable solution for them. Why can’t I just see a list of channels grouped in their spaces? Why can’t I pin a post? Matrix is great. The app ecosystem is not.

I think the app interface is great, but I don’t seem to be getting notification sounds, which is problematic.

EDIT: My notifications weren’t set to “noisy” in the desktop app. I’ve since updated that setting (on the desktop app) and now am getting notification sounds on mobile. Would be nice to control the setting for the mobile app also.

It takes me 30s to show the “matrix.org”, then I change it to my homeserver. Maybe the ISP blocks the matrix.org website, I guess. So I desperately hope just display the interface “matrix.org” when logining and don’t have to wait the connection to matrix.org. In that case, we can change the homes ever url quickly. thank you guys.

I’m a big fan of Element and this version is a huge improvement visually and the performance is a big step up. The only thing holding out back from being my main daily driver is the lack of threads and spaces/subspaces. Once these features are added, this will be the only Matrix client I will ever need. Well, gif support would be great too. Im very excited to see how Element x develops

Opened Element X, upon signing in to my matrix.org username and password, the app keeps crashing back to my Home Screen. Will adjust stars once this gets fixed, thanks and good luck. Edit: updated on 09/17 fixed the crashes so kudos to the devs for very quick work, thank you very much!
