## Elephant Journal Description
From Meditation to Relationships, Family to Environmental Tips, Yoga and Meditation to Travel and Recipes—we cover all the issues and topics that matter with a sense of humor and journalistic integrity—cutting through fads and making fun of spiritual materialism.

Our app is simple: it’s not here to clutter your life, but to help open it up. Most apps we enjoy fill the gaps in our lives—whether in line or in a waiting room, or at a restaurant waiting for a friend or colleague to return. Elephant offers space and inspiration within this busyness, enabling us to return to our basic goodness with knowledge and empathy.

Every day, check our Front Page for uplifted discussions and new articles, videos and podcasts. Then, your reading, hearting, sharing, and commenting directly increase the article's score, helping that author “win,” get paid by our mindful community, and get featured on our Front Page.

FRONT PAGE: A clear scrollable display of our community’s favorite articles, timely issues, and editor’s picks. Scroll ’til you find something that inspires you.

TOPICS: Browse articles by category (Yoga, Family, Green, Politics, Recipes…), bookmark those you love, and snooze the ones you don’t.

NOTIFICATIONS: See if someone replies to your comment, get alerts from writers who you follow, and find our best new articles.

SEARCH: Find that article or subject you’re curious about, and see other trending searches

HEART: Tap the “heart” icon on your favorite articles to boost their score to help the issue get featured on our Front Page and increase the author’s chances of winning our weekly Ecosystem payout.

COMMENT: Join the uplifted discussions happening on each story to increase the article’s score and create mindful community.

SHARE: Share your favorite articles with your network, directly from the app.

SUBSCRIBE: You can read two articles free, every day—if you want to read unlimited articles, and see fewer ads, you can subscribe for $3/month (billed annually at $36/year). You can cancel your renewal at any time from the Account Settings of your device at least 24 hours before your renewal date.

## Elephant Journal Reviews in United States

### *---- "Fraudsters"
Would leave 0 stars if possible. Their Yelp and TrustPilot reviews tell the tale - fraudulent billing and rude customer service.

I’ve reported them to the BBB and Colorado Attorney General and filed a case with PayPal.

Steer far away from these scammers.
-- Parkerc13, 2026-08-27

### ***** "Grateful"
Grateful to have a heart lifting place to be.
-- Gigi03, 2026-01-28

### ***** "I’m here"
Reading elephant journal and wow Way.

Thank you for your kindness. You inspire me.
-- Elephant-way, 2025-09-18

### *---- "To dishonor elephants"
You dishonor elephants with your dishonesty. How should I trust you with a paid subscription when I read one article and am then told if I sign on I will get 2 more free articles. But upon doing this am immediately begged for money before I am allowed to view even one more. After all the horrific pain and injustice visited upon one of the most intelligent and peaceful creatures of this planet, who have been decimated by man, you my friend choose to use them for profit. And does any of this even go towards their relief, welfare, caring or saving? I see no indication of such. I am truly sorry but you will not have mine until you do something worthy and deserving of it, for them .
-- Bob’s your uncle what’s he say, 2025-03-08

### *---- "No refunds and no concern"
Years ago this was a free blog. I understand they need money to run the business but as a cost to those that looks to this company for support and conscientious journalism, this one has really depleted in value. I had hoped that I would discover improvements but app shuts down and company will not refund even if issue was discovered within minutes of purchase. Sadly, eventually it always becomes about making money.
-- Caliallioops, 2024-03-19

### ***** "Love elephant"
Thank you so much for the grounding and inspiration!
-- sparke0311, 2023-10-13

### ***** "The best!"
I’ve read elephant journal for over 10 years. I love it here.
-- hfdvi, 2023-09-26

### ***** "Nice"
This is a really good app. I use the free version, because I am on a fixed income, and can’t afford subscriptions. But, I find the reading limit well, too limited. 2 articles a day, and a weekly reading limit. That’s not good. I would definitely pay for a subscription if I could afford it. But as I said above, I am on a fixed income and that is just not possible. It would be nice if you could find a way to make the app completely free for those of us on a fixed income. It would help a lot. I found some good stuff on it already. I would love to read more. But as it stands, well, I have reached my weekly limit. Still a really good app though.
-- Eyeless Fish, 2023-05-31

### ***** "Ya ya Que ases"
Que ases
-- saratjorge, 2023-02-24

### *---- "Met weekly limit?"
Subscribed to them for years…recently went Onto the app to read an article, and got a pop up saying I’ve reached my weekly limit of free articles (I literally haven’t read one on EJ in months) and gave me options to pay?!?! I don’t understand? Are there no free articles any longer? Please fix this.
