Not to say all the other apps out aren’t helpful. This one just fits my way of learning. Thanks to the creators

I have been struggling with the past tense verbs for sometime. In a recent Babbel Live class where we were going over and using the simple past, indefinite, and imperfect, another student could see how confused some of us still were and recommended the Ella Verbs app. (Thanks Leigh!) Immediately after class I researched the Ella Verbs app on the web and then read through the glowing reviews on the App store. I didn’t see any red flags, so I downloaded the app and got started on the free, 5-day trial. I was super happy that it DIDN’T require me to add my credit card for the trial so that I could cancel it without a hassle if I didn’t like it. The good news is that I found the app quite useful. This is a no frills study aide for learning Spanish verbs: the verb meanings, the different tenses, explanations of when to use the tenses, the verb conjugations, and quizzes to test your knowledge. You will work through different levels. They have even divided up the content in each level so you can focus on irregular verb conjugations. These are conveniently grouped together in categories so you can learn which verbs are conjugated similarly. The app is simple and easy to use. No directions are necessary. There are no advertisements or annoying animations. There are even several settings that allow you to customize the app like dark mode, the use of vosotros, sound on/off, etc. The couple who created the app in their spare time did a fabulous job of making this a useful resource to add to your study toolbox. Because of their amazing work and the usefulness of the app, I went ahead and paid for the “lifetime” access which is about $100. You can also subscribe for the month or the year for even less. If you absolutely can’t afford it, you can email the creators and ask for access for a longer free period. They don’t want finances to be a barrier to access. That’s so kind and generous of them which is another reason why it decided it was worth buying the lifetime access.

I’ve only started using the app today and I can see why it was recommended to me as a companion to Duolingo. I look forward to using this app daily to improve my understanding of Spanish verbs. Highly recommended!

All of the conjugations you need are here and allow you to understand the structure of each ending so you can learn to conjugate rather than just memorizing. The best function is the ability to personalize quizzes to really study what you are weakest at. This has been one of the most valuable learning aids in my journey to fluency. Worth every penny.

Not going to lie I’ve watched a lot of videos but when I discovered this app it literally took my Spanish to another level literally 😂 an AMAZING APP‼️

I’ve never written a review on the app store, but absolutely had to for this amazing app! Jane and Brian, the owners, seem like the sweetest ever and you can tell they really care about helping people learn and giving everyone the equal opportunity to. As for the app, it makes conjugating and learning so easy and applicable! I’ve been learning spanish for 10ish years (on and off), but could never seem to get verbs and conjugation quite down. Even 25 minute youtube videos did’t help me much. Butttt, ella verbs to the rescue, everything’s been starting to click in just the 5 days I’ve been using it! The customizable practice, information docs, quizzes that focus on one aspect of the tense (regular vs irregular vs reflexives, etc.), and so much more make this app uniquely great! The give back program is also such an amazing idea that makes me love this app and it’s creators even more. Without it I wouldn’t have been able to keep practicing my conjugations and feel as significantly more confident in my spanish abilities as I do now. ¡Me encanta!

This app has no ads, clearly lets you study verbs, and learn different tenses. Ella verbs also contains one of the best monetization systems I have ever seen! They let anyone buy the premium, but if you can’t afford it, you can apply for the give back program for premium, letting spanish education not be limited to just those of greater means. And by all means, premium is unneeded as the base app is very high quality, but it will improve your learning and support a couple who have created an app for more people to learn spanish because they felt passionate about it.

This app is superb and I’m learning Spanish so fast I’ve learned present and past from this app in 3 weeks and the software is amazing, it would be nice if you guys made a French app so I can do that after I finish this. (I also bought the membership).

I just started this app, it’s awesome & I’m excited I stumbled upon it! Sadly I recently invested in a lifelong plan to a different (name brand) Spanish language learning company, but got bored quickly and moved on. It was far too basic and didn’t challenge me in any way. To clarify, I’m somewhere near advanced & native speaker, but since I learned Spanish as a child, I’ve not only forgotten a lot, but I also never studied grammar, and now trying to maintain it as well as advance in both Italian and French, I realized that studying & understanding Spanish grammar would be the most logical way to go about it… cuz you know, those Latin/romance languages kind of stick together. So I’m super excited to have found Ella. It’s not only great for beginners to follow along at a self pace, but also great for intermediate and advanced. They break down everything very well, and explain in an easy to follow & detailed enough manner without overwhelming. Again, I’m super happy to have found Ella! Get it, try it, buy it, you’ll love it!! :D

This is a terrific app! Everything you need to know about every verb, all in one place. It’s a great reference as well as great learning tool. I don’t pay for many apps, but this one is well worth the price.
