### ***-- "Pretty Pay to Win (or even Play)"
This game has some good. It is gorgeous. It is a cooperative multiplayer game, rather than a PvP game. You not only have a choice of race (elf or human), you have a choice of peaceful trade or armed conquest. This is quite unique. I love these aspects of the game.

Now, the bad: it is highly pay to win. It’s a gacha game. Indeed, it is really pay to play, because if you don’t drop some real money, the game experience is not going to be a good one. Inno has monetized player frustration, so expect to be purposely frustrated at every turn.

There are MUST HAVE buildings that you as a new player will never have unless you are willing to pay hundreds of dollars.

It is also anti-newbie. They have constant events, back-to-back and overlapping. Not long after you first start, you will be encouraged to participate in an event. You will be given a few event points to spend. It will seem fun. Then you will be offered to BUY event points. DON’T DO IT! Because fairly soon after that, you will be given an event quest that is considerably more advanced than you are in the game. And your progress in the event (that you just spent money on) WILL COME TO A HALT.

Further, unless you are into violence against women, or animals, do NOT watch their ads. The developers say they have no control over the ads and blow off complaints by many players.

I’ve been playing this game for 8 years. I’m the AM of my fellowship & if not for my loyal members, I would have stopped playing a long time ago. Tge first 2 years was fun then it became to tedious & difficult to rank up. The devs has ruined this game for a lot of Elvenar players. Everything is too demanding in this game, from all productions needed to make things. The numbers are ridiculous & difficult to make. If I can ditch this game I would. It has worn off a lot of fun & patience for this game. A lot of my members lost interest & it’s so hard to recruit now.

I heard that the farther you are the more time it takes. While it is true it actually gives me a look at how far I’ve come. It takes me multiple days to continue in the research and I proud of it. The slow down really seems like they are trying to get you to improve instead of just making you spend money (I’m on chapter 9 and haven’t paid a single penny). It’s addicting and I love playing it. And there’s a new chapter coming (Chapter 21) and it seems like it will be amazing. Another wonderful game from a wonderful game developing company.

I know this game is older but good lord is it dull. Usually when you start one of these games it is fun building up, at the beginning. It felt like nothing. It definitely is one of the more boring games. Not sure how it gets after more time but I don’t care. Not worth it. Time for it to fade away like Game of War.

I used to love this game and played it for six years, slowly making progress. 

Many times I was perfectly willing to make small purchases ($5 here and there and sometimes $20) over the years out of appreciation for the company & to move my city forward.

Then, in later chapters, it has gotten so difficult to make any progress at all and virtually impossible to expand my city without fighting my way through many many dozens of encounters for every single tile.  I think the rate of which I got one new tile in my city got down to once every six months at most.

I honestly would've rather paid a small subscription fee then constantly being pestered with pop-ups related to "one time only!" purchase opportunities another freemium tactics.

What used to be an enchanting experience has become utterly vile.  It makes me sad that I wasted so much time playing this game to end up feeling this way.  I wish I had never played it.

I’ve been playing Elvenar for 5 years and what was once an enchanting game that involved strategy, deep understanding of geometry and skill has become a money grab. I’m not the only person to notice this since the number of players who are playing has been decreasing at an accelerating rate for the last few years. If you’ve got money burning a hole in your pocket then yeah, jump on in. If you’re like me and not enjoying the promised prosperity then no, this isn’t a game for you  Felinius of the Blue Dragons on Arendyll

So far no racist homo/transphobic 6 year olds to attack me! I love games where I can build freely without having to worry about being attacked and so far as an elf I am enjoying building and expanding without having to watch chat 24/7. Very fun so far if it changes I will let y’all know.
